    Elle E. Kay is an Angel Award-winning Christian fiction author known for her gripping suspense and engaging romance novels.     THE LAWKEEPERS, a new multi-author series featuring a mix of historical and current-day Lawkeepers.

    Each author involved in the series has a connection to law enforcement in one way or another. Jenna Brandt's husband is a retired police officer while Lorana's brother is a constable. Each author is committed to share stories of faith, hope and love around Lawkeepers who have and continue to sacrifice daily, both past and present, to protect our citizens, both at home and abroad.

    The books in the series will be a mix of historical and current day Lawkeepers—men and women—from Sheriffs, FBI, U.S. Marshalls, Rangers, K-9 Police Officers, Military Police, SWAT, Pinkerton Agents, police women, and more.

    Each series release will alternate between historical and contemporary, and promise to always be sweet and inspirational. The first set of books center around deputy sheriffs and start a century and a half ago with stories of respect, honor, and love.

    I loved this story! It was sweet, it had adventure, suspense and humor!
    The plot is fast paced with a lot of twists that keep you engaged. I couldn't stop reading until the HEA which was great!
    The characters are endearing. I liked Adeline's spunky and strongwilled personality, and Nate was a true hero with a stubborn streak. They find themselves at odds. Both are trying to capture a dangerous gang, Nate as a bounty hunter and Adeline as a Pinkerton detective. Adeline wants justice for his father's murder, but she finds herself accused of being accomplice of the gang. Nate doesn't know what to make of her at first... You'll have to read it to find out for yourself what's next. I'll just say it was definitely worth the read!
    Recommended to anyone who likes clean sweet and inspiring western romances!

    A well written bounty hunter story. Adeline gets recruited to be a detective to take down the gang that shot her father and kidnapped her. By seeking vengeance she puts herself in a bad situation until she is arrested by Nate a bounty hunter. She is wanted as an accomplice in a train robbery and she needs to prove she is working for or Pinkerton. In the mean time they will find out that they are everything they each needed. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.

    Lawfully Taken is a charming, quick read. I enjoyed Nate and Adeline, and it was fun to be immersed in the Old American West Adeline is a spunky character who made tromping around the countryside in long skirts look easy. Nate is a man's man who takes life by the horns. The plot moves quickly as the pair chases bad guys while fighting against their growing attraction (which often seems more about their physical appearance than about common interests, intelligence, and other internal traits which I would have preferred). Periodic episodes of violence (gang fights, etc.) occur because of the time period/location, but they are not gory or gratuitous. Issues of forgiveness, acceptance, and following God's leading are effectively woven throughout the story. I received an ARC from the author, and a positive review was not required. All opinions expressed are my own.

    I absolutely enjoyed this book! The characters had me laughing, I really liked Adeline. Coming from a wealthy family she didn’t shy away from a hard situation, she is strong and stubborn. I finished in one night, couldn’t put it down! I liked how the romance developed and the book ended. Truly a must read!

    This is a delightful book! I love bounty hunter books! Especially when he gets his quarry and finds more than he bargained for! Nate has been tacking down a nefarious gang that has robbed and killed several people. He can't believe that a woman is among them but when he catches up to the gang and catches that woman (Adeline), is she really one of them or is she a Pinkerton detective? Read this wonderful book and find out!! Adeline is my kind of character - head strong yet feminine. She hasn't had many examples of how to be a woman living in the frontier exactly since she's been pampered all her life but she knows that she feels two ways about Nate - attraction and down right frustration! Yep, this is a book you are going to want to read! I didn't want it to end. The supporting characters were just as good!
