L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world’s wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference.

The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly. That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their towns and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal.

L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers.

With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud. Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels.

Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet.

    This is the story of Maverick and Josephine (Jo)

    Maverick Wyatt Marshal, brought into the MC as an older teen, flew jets for the Air Force, an aerospace engineer, loves building satellites, and President of Delta Rising. Josephine "JoJo" Patton, 24, mechanic, inherited her fathers shop. She is the best in town. Her crew is like family. She looks out for the single mom's in town. Very protective of her younger brother Jacky, an artist who loves to paint.
    Some in their small town have made their lives hard. Her father was a protector of those who needed it. Lost his life doing what he did best. Her mother was fragile, and the down destroyed her. Now it is just JoJo, Jacky, her crew and those in town that loved and respected her father.
    Jacky has a run in with the MC at a drag race. Comes to their attention when he is seen with a ousted former member. Comes to their aid when that former member attacks JoJo. Maverick immediately throws his and the MCs protection. JoJo is his.
    Maverick has built a diverse core core of people to work in his aerospace company. Taking the brightest of the disenfranchised from the military and corporate. He does not see race, age or sexual orientation, just what they can do, and the type of people they are. Creating a work environment were all are equal and respect is given and expected back.
    The MC is cleaning up the town. Driving out those who were spearheading the trouble and targeting JoJo.
    Maverick reconnects to the Aunt who raised him, now that his abusive uncle is gone. Mucimi sees Aunt Rain with Major. Major needs to good.
    Jacky sees the single MC brother's in need of good women and the good ladies in the town in need of good men, and decides to play match maker. He is very successful.
    JoJo and Jacky are stunned when they meet Christian Blackhawk, he is the twin to their father. More pieces of the puzzle fall into place. The Ancestors are bringing families back together.
    Great series. Loved Maverick and JoJo's story. The Badass way of life is spreading.

    I have never picked up a book by L Ann Marie that I didn't love. This is no different. She always amazes me with her stories. I've been hopeful that Maverick would get a story. Loved all of the drama and connections.

The fact that JoJo and her brother are SO connected to ( not spoiling it but WOW) PRINCES and the East coast Reservations is insane!!! I'm not exactly sure how L. Ann keeps all the connections straight. The happiness and love Maverick and JoJo find flows in this book, and I know that all these family ties are going to come in to play , it has the building up to something feel. One more thing .. Kinda a spoiler but I'm really happy for Major !

    Wow what an amazing book of not only love but revelations! Maverick is a nerdy space geek and Jo is a beautiful but unconventional mechanic. When they meet it’s under extreme circumstances but that doesn’t stop the crazy hook ups that Cort and the others seem to help along. With the Justice League and the alpha-bits life is never dull. Especially Anton who’s one of my favourites. Add in the space station and satellite launches life is never dull in crazy town. As always life isn’t smooth or easy but love prevails with the help of all involved. Once the ancestors are involved even more revelations and connections appear. I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the next book now.
