- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2022A missing prince. An army of trolls. Invaders from another world riding chariots of steel.
It's all in a day’s work for a ForeSender.
Her name is Galindra. She's one of a handful of guardians who watch over a world of medieval myth and magic. Beautiful yet deadly, she has the power to shift into dragon form, wield battle magic and send out her senses to detect traces of the past as well as to communicate with others.
Along with her brother, Salith, a wolf shifter, Galindra is charged with protecting her world from enemies both foreign and domestic. While investigating the abduction of a prince by forces unknown, she is confronted by space marines from an Earth ravaged by global warming seeking lebensraum with laser rifles and hover tanks, while other creatures -- closer to home, yet no less powerful -- seek to seize the magic portal that allows the ForeSenders to travel among worlds.
In “ForeSender Fury,” Adrian Murphy blends fantasy and science fiction to create a high-octane adrenaline rush of action, adventure and intrigue. Elegantly written in clean, precise prose, this novel offers thrills for readers of all ages while serving as the opening chapter of a longer saga to come. Whether you like military sci-fi, mythical creatures, or medieval fantasy of the sword and sorcery kind, there is something for everyone in this exciting tale.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2022This book is an intriguing mix of genres—part sci-fi, part fantasy, part mystery, and all exciting. There are so many characters and so much action, including world-hopping, that it took a while to get a feel for the characters. But as I began to untangle individuals and groups, it became a matter of: who do I root for? There are some obvious “bad guys”—saboteurs from Earth with evil intentions, trolls (are trolls ever good?), and various unknowns kidnapping and poisoning characters. But there also several groups of good people, all just doing their own thing, and still at odds with each other. All in all, it’s a great book, and so wide in its scope that it leaves plenty of room (and unanswered questions) for the next books in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2022I liked the main character, Galindra. Overall, I liked the story, but I felt that the way the action jumped between characters and worlds was confusing.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2021A well-written and descriptive adventure...From the very start I was swept away into the medieval fantasy and seamlessly transitioned into the sci-fi world where the two worlds/populations collide. The author engages the senses and makes every scene easily visualized from sword-bearing attacks to characters being dragged by trolls. Truly masterful, I look forward to reading the next installment.

Thank you, Adrian Murphy for a great story!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2021Like no book I've ever read and absolutely captivating from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down wanting to know more. A mix of sci-fi and fantasy I highly recommend this story!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2021What’s not to love when those two things combine. Great effort by first time author Murphy. Can’t wait to see what he has next up his sleeve.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2023Kidnapping, murders, betrayals, and unexpected attacks from within and without raise many questions and leave perplexing clues. Multiple worlds, societies, and factions collide as their leaders base key decisions on incomplete information and incorrect assumptions. Battles for power, survival, and revenge keep the story moving forward.
The many significant characters are diverse and resourceful. Serious losses arise from the unexpected, insurmountable challenges they face. Unexpected alliances are made. Many questions remain unanswered, propelling the reader on to Book 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mix of hard sci-fi and fantasy
I really enjoyed this first book, in what promises to be an excellent series, of sci-fi/fantasy. Complex plotting, with lots of threads. Enough threads resolved at the end of the book, to give a satisfactory conclusion. Enough threads left open to make you want to read the sequel. I look forward to doing so...
Very enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic fantasy fusion!
The first in what will be an epic series, is such a gripping page turner. The characters are so vibrant and really engaging. Galindra and Foyle are my favourites but it was difficult to choose given the host of wonderful characters I encountered throughout. I loved the mystery and intrigue that was seemlessly interwoven into the story too. Each world came to life on the page and I loved how diverse and immersive they were. I can’t wait for the next book in this series and highly recommend you check it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant mix of Ancient times, Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
I really enjoyed this book as it groups together all the things I like. Dragons, Sci-Fi, Shifters, Magic, and more. I was totally engrossed and the Author had done a brilliant job of linking all the elements together, creating a tense, exciting read that I didn't want to put down.
