Maria Pollicina wished for a child for many years. Out of desperation, she tried artificial insemination. At long last Maria had a baby girl whom she named Tommelise.

Francesco was fifteen when Maria came to work for his family. She was a great maid for him. Sometimes Maria brought her young daughter Tommelise with her. He is five years older than Tommelise and watched her blossom into a beautiful young woman.

Tommelise starts working as a bartender at the young age of twenty-two. One cold winter night, her car wouldn’t start after her shift. One of her regulars Mrs. Tudse, who looked like a toad, offered her a ride home. But Tommelise never makes it home.

She is kidnapped by one family after another—each person wanting something out of her. From being a slave to wanting a marriage, Tommelise cannot get away to return to her mother and the life she was taken from.

Out of Desperation to get Tommelise back, Maria goes to Francesco Mignolina, the man who she works for help. Furious to learn that Tommelise is missing, Francesco sends Efron Fugl to search for her. Efron delivers the bad news that Tommelise is to be married to Bayard Muldvarp.

Since his father is pressuring him to marry and take over the family Francisco decides he needs to act fast. He wants Tommelise to be his wife, not someone else’s. He needs to stop Bayard Muldvarp from marrying Tommelise, and he will start a war if he has to.

I started my journey as a reader but quickly learned how much I enjoyed everything about romance, so I picked up the pen in 2017 and haven't looked back. Writing various genres, paranormal romance is my go-to; however, I do have a few mysteries and contemporary romances under my belt.

My favorite books involve characters that aren't perfect and have room to grow or a good mystery you can't easily solve. With each new book, I keep this in mind and enjoy creating complex worlds where my characters take the stage.

When I am not creating amazing new worlds for my readers to get lost in, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two rescue dogs, Sammie and Jake.

    Tommelise may be small but she has a big influence on those around her. She is aware of how people dismiss her because of her diminutive stature and determined not to allow it.

    This is an interesting story of an impressive young woman and her struggles to be seen as more than her size. A tale of romantic suspense with an interesting hero.

    Francesco has been waiting for Tommie to grow up and experience life before making his claim on her. Then danger befalls her not once, but twice before they can make their hearts known to one another. This novella is suspenseful and riveting.

    This unique retelling of the classic fairy tale Thumbelina has a mafia twist. I loved the mafia terms, rules , Italian phrases the author provides and the names she gave the characters. Of course the main focus is on Tommie (Thumbelina) although small in stature she can stand tall in the world. And like every good fairy fairy tale Tommie and Francesco's love prevails! Heed the warnings of graphic scenes if this is a trigger for you. I felt some of it was excessive but I still

    This book is filled with danger, anger, evil character and love. As a retelling of Thumbelina within the Mafia hierarchy the author has created a remarkable story and character. This is a quick and enjoyable read. You will enjoy the story between Francesco and Tommie. They have had feelings for each other for years but have kept those feelings to themselves. When Tommie is kidnapped he will burn the town down to get her back. The storyline consists of many strong independent women who are not defined by their size. The author has included a definition of all the leaders in the organization and also includes Italian saying and their meaning. I really enjoyed this book.

    A Mafia thumbelina retelling that gets the heart going. This was a very cute story that was fast paced and easy to read. I do feel the overall plot could have been expanded and more connections made among the characters, but it did not take away from the story itself. I would recommend this book for someone looking for a quick read.

    What a read. I loved this book from the moment that I started reading it and I could not put it down. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for the flow of this story, which makes for a fun and relaxing read. You will love these characters and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. This book is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list, you will not be sorry that you did.
