My Immortal Kindle Edition
These vague words had haunted reporter Adele Lumas for nearly as long as she could remember, in fractured dreams where she was pursued by an unknown but threatening entity. Thanks to various mental ailments, her waking life isn’t that much better. She gulps handfuls of pills just to play the part of normal, even though she knows deep down that’s one thing she will never be.
Things take a turn for the worse when a serial killer lands in their sleepy burg, targeting their most vulnerable citizens – the children. That’s when Adele begins to have different dreams, where she is no longer prey, but the hunter. She witnesses every single one before they happen, which sends her right to the brink of what she can bear.
Just about this time, a beautiful man enters her life and makes her feel anything but odd or weird. He makes her feel beautiful, desired… loved. It is a connection she cannot explain, as though she and this stranger are tied together by an unbreakable cord. Yet the closer they get, the more danger surrounds her life, targeting those closest to her.
As the mystery unravels, she fears that she has met this man before, in another life, where they are bound together through the ages by the curse of blood. Now only she can kill him, or risk losing every single human she’s grown to love.
“My Immortal” is a paranormal romance that blends vampire lore with reincarnation, which explores the idea of soul mates and sacrifice. Written by author/screenwriter Ginger Voight, it blends her two loves of the romance and horror genres into a sensual, spooky suspense.

About the authors
"Ginger has the amazing ability to write in a variety of genres, from hot romance to straight horror to hilarious comedy, which is a talent few writers possess. Some of Ginger's work is bold and sometimes uncomfortable, because she often deals with issues many of us would rather turn away from. Yet in other works, she gives us one hell of a good time with characters you can never forget once you've met them!" - writer/producer Marie D. Jones, Where's Lucy? Productions
Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with nearly thirty published novels. Having covered everything from travel to politics as a nonfiction freelancer, she is unafraid to explore multiple genres like romance, paranormal, and dark, "ripped from the headlines" mainstream fiction with surprising depth.
Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.
In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.
In 2011, she embarked on a new journey--to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These "Rubenesque" romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the "reality-TV" preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.
Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn't afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, curvy or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger's goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they'll never forget.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2011This is the first Ginger Voight book I have read, and I am impressed with the quality of the story. As with most new stories, once you get past the first couple of chapters, you will be invested & hooked and the story will sweep you along. While it is a vampire supernatural story, it is not based on either Twilight or Anne Rice cannon. Refreshingly, the vampires have mostly classic powers and weaknesses in the spirit of Dracula. I enjoyed this as the foes weren't without vulnerabilities like in so many other modern novels.
The e-book is well worth the asking price, and I will definitely be looking at other titles from Ms. Voight. With the open-tease ending of the story, I hope she follows up the story with a sequel. Great job Ginger Voight!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2012I won this book as part of a First Reads competition on Goodreads.com.
My Immortal was a solid tale, though a little convoluted and difficult to follow at times. I liked the psychology aspect of Adele's condition, even if it wasn't actually a psychology issue (what else could they have decided it was, given she was having hallucinations and dreaming of death).
I got a little tired of all the to-ing and fro-ing in the middle, but it was nicely saved by the unexpected twist about Nicholas.
I liked the romance of the story, it was a strong and vibrant theme throughout the whole story. I could have done without the "happy" ending (the last chapter or so). It seemed a little cheesy.
I noted a few spelling/editing errors in the text, Ginger, if you want to know where, let me know. I also found one pretty glaring inconsistency in one of the scenes: on page 88 Adele is wearing jeans and an old sweater, later in the same scene (pg91) Adele is wearing an empire waistline dress...
Thank you Ginger for the copy of your book and the CD with the song that inspired it!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2014The first two-thirds of the book moved slowly for me, it was a bit wordy for my taste...but then the last third really drew me in when all the action really got going. A good overall read with some heart-rending twists at the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2013This was a very wonderful romance story with a huge twist. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Both was different and all in a good way. I would read more from this author!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2014I apparently downloaded this when it was free on Amazon, and apparently did not read the description very careful because it's a paranormal book about vampires. VAMPIRES! And all the stuff that goes along with vampires... wispy black smoke, glowing yellow eyes, fangs, sucking blood, dead animals and people, living for hundreds of years, sleeping in coffins. I will admit I read all 278 pages and can say with conviction I definitely DO NOT like this genre. At. All.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2013This book was very good had me hooked from the first page the story of Adele and Nicholi was a different kind of love story then there is her best friend Michael and the story takes a lot of twist and turns. I could say the ending left me wanting more i do hope the story continues would recommend
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2013I don't know. It's like I like it but I don't either. I felt like this book kept dragging at parts. Don't get me wrong it did keep me into the book because I wanted to learn what happened. But I don't know mom just lost at words. This book was a different vampire book that I have read and a little creepy(in a good way). But if you're in this for the suspense then I say go for it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2013What a tremendous, titillating journey "My Immortal" will take you on. I think a movie could be made with this story. The twists and turns, the suspense as well as undying love, and so much more! Wow, you just have to read it, to experience the magic of it. Truly a masterpiece if ever there was one, Ms. Voight is a great author.

3.0 out of 5 stars My Immortal........
We all have our likes and dislikes when reading novels its personal choice, maybe just what we feel like reading at the time plays a part as with writing style. While reading My Immortal the twists and turns in the plot kept me guessing until the last chapter as ( spoiler) Adele found herself at times floundering. Over all a soon finished easy read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interestingly weird yet likeable
I like the eternal life thing and what would you do for love even if it is the unthinkable, selfish act. my favourite character is Michael because he loves unconditionally even though his love loves another. I also like Dani who came through, she is really a loveable character
