Hello and welcome to my author page. Let me tell you a little about myself, as that seems to be the main purpose of this profile. Believe it or not, I began my fiction career in the third grade when I told my class that a little sister I never had died of a black widow bite. I also wrote books through my teen years, always about a girl whose mother mistreated her by making her wash dishes, sweep the floor... you get the idea. Never finished any of those stories. But the idea of writing a real book and publishing it never occurred to me. It was a particularly vivid dream that drove me to drag out a portable typewriter and go to work on my first novel. In 1990 my second completed book, Tender Touch, brought me a first place win in a writing contest and the following year became a Golden Heart Finalist. That won me an agent and a contract from Kensington who published five of my western historical romance novels. My books have placed or won in other contests as well. Forever Mine received a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award nomination. I've always loved the Old West and I believe my novels reflect that emotion through their depth and vibrancy.     Carrianne carries a lot of pain from not hearing from her husband for years. Her understanding grows as she works with him against the evil that holds him captive.

    Cord sees first hand what his actions have done to Carrianne and their relationship. He also pays the heavy price of standing by while she puts herself in evils' clutch.

    The characters are all very interesting and well written. I especially liked the interaction between the two women friends, between Carrianne and Biff, and the men who worked together better than brothers.

    I'm glad that most of the sensual desire is within marital bounds, but between that focus throughout the book and the author's note, I will not be seeking out other books from her.

    The author has penned a sweet and heartwarming story with lots of twists and turns. This is a story of danger, mystery, and love. This is Carrianne and Cord's story. Carrianne had agreed to let Cord go to California to find their fortune. After a time, Cord's letters became fewer and fewer and he hinted that he was in danger. Carrianne decided to travel to California to locate Cord where she learned that Cord's former boss, Shiv Deegan, wanted him dead because Cord knew too much about Shiv's thieving ways. A U.S. Marshall and the San Francisco Governor were working with Cord in an attempt to catch Shiv and Carrianne joins them. Will they be successful in catching Shiv? Will they both be able to escape any harm coming to them from Shiv? Will Carrianne and Cord be able to regain their love for each other and restore their marriage? Be sure to read this exciting book to find out; I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
