Stalker: Cyborg Ranger (Cyborg Rangers Series Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 87 ratings

Stalker Knight is one of six Cyborg Marine Rangers sent to Earth to restore law and order to the war-ravaged American West. Each of them hopes to find their genetic mate—the one woman designed to be theirs.

Stalker never expected to find his mate in the wreckage of a downed aircraft. But Neely Albert—a former prostitute turned smuggler—isn’t exactly thrilled to hear she belongs to him. With her flyer destroyed, her smuggling days are over, but she has bigger problems—she owes a dangerous overlord for the weapons lost in the crash.

When Stalker offers her a way out—join him on a mission to L.A. to help with reconnaissance for the city's rebuilding—Neely sees an escape from her past. But she can’t ignore the undeniable pull between them.

Stalker is more than willing to be patient, letting nature take its course. And as they travel west, he quickly realizes she’s not just a survivor—she’s his perfect match in every way. Now, he just has to convince her to take a chance on a future with him.

Christine Myers has been a science fiction fan since seeing the original “Day the Earth Stood Still” at age eight. Her favorite subgenre is science fiction romance with interstellar space travel and a bit of space opera. Among the most influential in her work are the Lazarus Long novels by Robert Heinlein including “Time Enough for Love”, and Marta Randall’s "Journey." She loves Star Trek, Firefly, Farscape, and Veteran Cosmic Rockers, the Moody Blues.

After spending years trying to get her work published by traditional publishers, she discovered KDP and became an Indie Author/Publisher. This means she does it all from writing to publishing.

Stalker the Cyborg Ranger had been dreaming of his mate but never knew if he would ever find her. When he rescues Neely from a plane crash he was as surprised as she was. The problem was Neely was a survivor of a less than stellar past. But love can grow if you give it a chance, even while fighting slavers, brutal gangs and a rogue cyborg. I loved it, it was hot, and action packed.

Stalker is being sent to help rebuild the West, what used to be California .
Neely is working as a smuggler for an overlord on the East coast. When her plane is shot down she is rescued
    by Stalker.
Stalker knows Neely and he are fated, if he can convince her to go to California with him, he just may have what he wants.

The third and final episode of the Cyborg Rangers was the best of all ! Stalker's mate Neely literally falls out of the sky into his lap. It ends much as the other two episodes but is a great read anyway.

I enjoyed reading this book. Stalker and Neely were great characters. I loved how the love grew between the two. I found this book a page turner.

Usually, I love these cyborg books. However, I just didn’t enjoy this one as much. I found Stalker to be a flat character and he just didn’t seem to mesh with Neely until they started to work together. Neely was very blasé about her past as a prostitute, then she became a pilot, and with Stalker, is now a law enforcer. Just didn’t work for me.

Stalker, as an enforcer, also seemed one dimensional. Where is the bad*ss cyborg that I expected? Where is the big sexy cyborg we are used to? While the premise of these books are all the same, its the writing that sets them apart. With two great writers, I expected more.
