Quaint: Hearts and Houses Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 74 ratings

Arianna Tuppen is looking for a new start. Heart sore and weary of the rat race she seeks solitude in the hills of Tennessee. Small town charm, rolling hills, and green valleys are what she longs for and when she sees the perfect house she knows she has to have it. The quaint home with a green roof and wide porches has seen better days but something about it calls to Ari's soul and she is determined that it will be her safe haven in a time of storms.
Though new to the area, Arianna is determined to put her personal stamp on the old house, but first, she has to clear out the contents of the long-fought over home. Considering the squabbles of the heirs a boon that gives her the house of her dreams for a bargain, Ari is happy to salvage what she can and discard the rest.
Will the echoes of the past capture her heart and unlock the secrets of her heart or will someone else steal it before her task is complete?

Hearts and House:
A home is more than a house and in this series, the ghosts of the past will help hurting hearts heal. The structures we live in are more than just a building they hold hints of love, laughter, and heartache. Only when a house becomes a home can true hearts sing.

As an adopted daughter, this story touched a special spot in my heart. As much as I loved my adoptive parents, there was always a question about why I was abandoned by my birth parents.
This story has just enough sorrow and need, combined with hope to possibly bring a tear to the eye of the reader. Well done.

This was such a sweet book. My heart was so touched by Ari's story. And Harper was a true example of a Christ following man. Warning: this would have gotten five stars, but there are a lot of typos that stopped my reading momentarily. But that shouldn't stop you from reading this book. The story really is charming.

It is very good book! Ari grew up living in foster homes. She put herself in college and got a good job. She bought a house. The House ended being from her grandmother. I had A's in college English and I thought she was the missing girl. I'm also glad she found God!

A lonely woman searches for her roots and stumbles into a home and family and even memories she didn't realize she had. Plus, the humor involved in plumbing and a goat that fills her wit love.

Since this is the first book I've ever read by the author, I must apologize for years of missing out. This is without a doubt one of the most incredible stories I've ever read. The following two novels in this series have my utmost anticipation. Amazing work by Danni Roan.

What a truly lovely story. Loved the turn of phrase used. The whole story is like a warm hug on a cold and blustery day. Really enjoyed the slow and unpressured way God works in her heart. A real "coming home" story. Highly recommend it. Leaves you feeling that way.
