After reading the first book in this series, I didn’t think it could get much better. But I was wrong. A great story that centers around a plot for North Korea to become a feared world power. Once again, Mitchell & team thwart the plan. As I said in my previous review, this is a far fetched story but it sure makes for entertaining reading.

This is the second Richard Turner book that I've read and it was enjoyable. It's got a lot of action and the characters are engaging. However, I was tempted to give it 3 stars for the terrible editing job. I've not seen a book with this many mistakes. Because the storyline was better than the editing, I decided on a 4-star rating.

Dirk Pitt is rarely lethal but Mitchell and his team mete out justice with extreme prejudice. From Mongolia to Hong Kong to Texas, this story has several plot twists and the evil narcissist is one step ahead of the rescuers. As expected, the action is nonstop and the narrow escapes fantastical. The characters are more developed than book one and the plot more sophisticated. If you like Cooper, Stelljes, and Silkstone, you will like Turner. There are several distracting typo errors, but I liked the dynamics and unwavering loyalty of the team. Now, onto book three!

Well done Mr. Turner, you brought a second as good, if not better, than the first. With this one as well, I couldn’t put it down. Your descriptive ability to bring a person into the story is unbelievable, I could see every detail in my minds’ eye as you were describing it, its like playing a movie in your head. Lots of intrigue and some incredibly vivid combat makes for a fantastic read for any action/thriller reader. I highly recommend you read his prequel novel “Goliath” first then come get this one and sink your teeth in. It’s a mouthful that you won’t soon forget.

Spanning not only the globe but also a variety of cultures, Black Dragon was a phenomenal read. The author created intensity and interest from the first few pages and didn’t let go of this course until the very end. I love a grisly special ops and World War II setting and this book didn’t disappoint. The scenes, imagery and dialogue were well-developed and they thoroughly resonated with authenticity and edge. Nothing cliché here, the author’s writing style is fresh and energetic and I look forward to reading more from his pen!

Turner his crafted a fast paced action story coupled political intrigue. His principal characters who belong to a private security company do what they do best in dealing with terrorists in a high stakes game involving weapons of mass destruction.

Plenty of action! Great characters. I didn't want to put it down. Just when I thought the team wasn't going to make it, something else would happen and I knew it spelled the end. Everyone can't be lucky. But, some can...

Another solid story from fellow author Richard Turner. Once again, it was in the style of Clive Cussler, one of my favorite authors. I am a fanatic when it comes to proper editing, so it is with some regret I have to hold back one star for editing issues. There were just too many of them to overlook. On the plus side, I plan to read the next two novels in the series. All in all, well done, Richard.

HI. I enjoyed the adventure and excitement in the book, but I foiled the unnecessary blasphemy distressing. I know this is how some people talk, but it is not necessary to the plot nor to the characters. Jesus os precious to me and I don't like his name used as an expletive.

Really enjoyed the 2nd in the series. Mr Turner writes a pacy book with realistic characters. The good guys v the bad ones. Now I will have to buy the next in the series. Total mind time and enjoyment. A bit of the Jack Silkstone in the overview. Buy this you will not be disappointed. 5 stars from me. My only down were the number of typos etc should have been cleared by the proof reader
