- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2024Listen, I’m writing this review at almost 2am because I need to give props when is due. This authors books are absolutely captivating in every way. After reading the first part of the serious, I had to get the second one because I just needed to know how Ava’s story ended. With every page I needed to keep on reading, and I did until almost 2am lol. Anyway, something else that I loved was the worship, bible verses and calling out for God at every point of challenge in Ava’s life. Thank you for the author, once again for writing such amazing books. I’ll absolutely be reading more.

Ava learned her worth & found a man the loved her
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2024You definitely have to read these in order..... I cried, cussed & prayed... all the way through this book. Amazing... parts 1 & 2
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2025Andre and His mother, Marble get what they deserved but I felt sorry for Katrina in the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2022Where do I begin? This is a powerful book. Sure you may think it’s just a well written fiction book. The characters are rich and complex. I love how Lakisha even offers insight into the antagonist background and thoughts- this is not done enough in literature. But beyond being a good read. There is Holy Ghost power in these pages! Some of the prayers are so thorough and transformative I made images to read later. If you’re a woman of faith looking powerful, page turner read Almost Destroyed 1 & 2.
Oh I should add for Christians that come from a very strict background there is mild profanity & not everyone is sanctified in the book. But it’s not vulgar or raunchy. Thanks again Lakisha for using your God given gifts so excellently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost Destroyed 2
Wow this book was inspirational. I just couldn't put it down . The prayers , counselling, the sermon have me in tears and giving a praise shout. Which remind me that they that wait upon the Lord Will renew their strength. Ava faces abuse physically, emotionally and mentally but she overcome it all with the prayers of friends she met along the way. Friends this book 1 & 2 will have you wanting more . Love it. Lakisha you did it again . Blessing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful
A great part 2 to Almost Destroyed. The 180 of Katrina was so surprising, I forgot how nice she was in Part 1. It's crazy to see how some women derail themselves just to please a man. Lakisha is in a genre all by herself- Breakthrough Fiction, as you can find through all of her main characters. Read and be empowered!
