    I knew about halfway through the book that this one would be hard to let go. Layla Lochran has left me very anxious to hear the rest of this story!

    Lili and Zander are two people with many demons in their past and painful secrets. They meet at a time in both of their lives when they need each other most. Through their pain they find love and security. However, Zander's need to know her past may have cost him.

    "I can’t do this. He is never going to speak to me again. He will be disgusted by me. I thought I could tell him my secrets, but I can't."

    Although full of pain, this is a beautifully written love story, that is brought to life by the narration of Joe Arden and Stella Hunter who are nothing less than perfect!

    This beautiful and endearing love story introduces us to Liliana (a talented artist and bartender) and Alexander (a bar owner and former marine). They are immediately drawn to each other when they meet, but soon find they both have emotional walls that are not so easily scaled. Alexander refuses to give up on Liliana, though, recognizing that they have far more in common than anyone knows. Painting Her Fate follows this couple as they learn to love again, to trust again, and perhaps to heal. These are complex and layered characters, both of whom are dealing with their own forms of past trauma—Liliana’s stemming from her childhood and Alexander’s from his military service. Layla Lochran does a wonderful job of highlighting the individual strengths of each character while simultaneously giving an honest and very real portrayal of their mental and emotional struggles. And through it all, this sweet and sexy romance will keep you intrigued and entranced. Although I, personally, believe this book could have benefited from a more extensive edit, the story itself is phenomenal. And it’s told in a very thoughtful and empathetic manner by the author, who does an admirable job of tackling some very dark and potentially triggering issues with both sensitivity and understanding. I fell in love with this couple and with this story. This book does end in a cliffhanger, but thankfully we don’t have too long to wait for the release of book two in the series. And if you’re a fan of audiobooks, I highly recommend listening to this story in that format, as well. Joe Arden and Stella Hunter both do a tremendous job of bringing this story to life. Their emotional performance of the text will leave you breathless… in more ways than one.

    Cliff hanger! Check your CW! All the feels. Loves all the little asterisks with how the characters feeling or says things. Author is great! I knew something was gonna happen but didn't expect that! Can't wait for book two to come out! Great start to a love story! Great banter. Lili fits so great with Xanders circle.

    The first book in the Tell All Series does not disappoint! That dedication and Author’s note! Wow! A sweet, fun love story with more than a touch of darkness. Layla Lochran has done a great job with some very serious and touchy subject matter. She obviously has a passion for informing us that there is a problem with mental health issues that is not being addressed. I’ll admit I struggled with the first few chapters where we get a look at the tragedy that haunts Lili and Alexander but it didn’t take to long for me to be hooked! Lili and Alexander’s story is so sweet. They’ve both gone through so much in their past and this beautiful story shows us all that it’s okay to be broken but it’s also okay to be happy. The author has pulled us into their story and refuses to let us go. Joe and Stella only add to this with outstanding narration. I can not wait for Battle Born for You and the rest of their story. Thank for doing it right Layla and David Tennant will ALWAYS be the best Doctor!

    I was fortunate to both read and listen to Paint Her Fate. The first few chapters give us an in-depth look into Lili's past and the struggles she has been dealing with since childhood. We slowly get glimpses of events in Zanders past that make him the man he is today. When Lili and Zander collide their intense feelings for each other are instant. Each dealing with past events that have sculpted them into the persons they are today lead us through the story.
    The writing pulls you deep into the feelings of these characters and doesn't let you go.
    I can not wait to get my hands on book two.
    The author new who to call on to narrate Lili (Stella Hunter) and Zander(Joe Arden), they both bring these two to life with all the emotion of the words written. I enjoyed reading this story but LOVED listening to it!

    I received an advance copy of this book. But I also bought a hard copy!! Make sure to read AND listen to this book.

    I was able to get an arc/alc of this book and I was blown away. Stella did an amazing job in her role. The only thing I didn't like was the cliff hanger. But I'm not going to lie, and that I can't wait for the second book to come out
