A stand-alone HEA dual POV Sizzling Second Chance, Secret Baby, Enemies to Lovers Poignant Romance.
“I didn’t know you had my son, Olivia.” At her closed expression and negative shake of her head I pressed on. “No I swear it’s the truth”. She blasted out at me. “Really Alex you are going to play this card?” She puffed out a sad frustrated sigh. “Oh please I’m not the gullible little girl in love with you anymore.”
“Just tell me you will think about forgiving me. Give me a chance to explain the past. I messed up everything I know. I still love you.” He put his hand on her arm to detain her. She pushes his hand off. “No, I'm not sitting here listening to this pack of lies. We know asshole you were playing house. You ignored us because you forgot your vows to love me forever. You divorced me and married someone else with your.. your baby. God let me go. I hate you.”
“Make no mistake, Princess. I missed six years of my son’s life”. She barks back, “whose fault is that huh”. I countered, “well certainly not our son’s fault. Regardless I plan on making up for missed years with Chase. I meant what I said Olivia. Our son deserves us to be a family.”
Her mouth opened stunned at his choices. Her voice trembling made his heart hurt. “I’m not ready for this Alex. It’s just I can’t trust that you won’t break me again. God Alex you hurt me so bad. You ripped my heart out.”
“One more thing Princess. I dare you to deny this is over between us, sweetness.” He jerked her into him, putting h arm around her waist and pressed his mouth to hers. The hot currents zipped between us. “So keep telling yourself there’s nothing left between us.”

- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2024I guess everyone’s reading experiences are different but I loved this book. I suggest you read it for yourself! 😊
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2024I should have paid attention to the other reviews, but I was curious…I gave this three stars, because there was some redeeming value to the story…However, I do not think the author has a grasp of the English language, ( structure and function), nor the proper format for telling a coherent well put together story…The miscommunications in this story were mind blowing and often difficult to believe…Plus, the MFC being a PA should know all about blood type in relation to genetics ( just saying) So unrealistic ..

Book is in desperate need of an over haul.
Reads like a wattpad by an non native English speaking writer
In the beginning of the book One sentence will be 1st person and the next will be in 3rd and it speraticlly changes like this repeatedly in the same paragraph. This does taper off and for the most part stay 1st person as the story goes on. But it did make it hard to fallow and I would have to reread just to make make sure i understood what point was trying to come across.
Then out of no where the POV changes and i was like wait what, and had to go back. The entire book is this way. There is no indication what so ever. It will just be the next paragraph is a different POV. The language is a little stifling. They all sound like well educated 50 year old business men for a few decades ago. No where to I really hey the vibe of southern accents or tx living.
This technically would have been a DNF for me but with all high ratings I was curious if it got better. It didn't so I'm confused as to where they came from. I skimmed a whole lot.
The premise of the story was ok but the execution wasn't there. The author does anything to try and make things believable. Like alex is so wanted all women everywhere throw themselves at him. Everything is always a miscommunication between the h and H. He seems to always be caught by her. The amount of times he says it isn't that it seems is ridiculous.
He essentially dated someone for weeks not seeing his kids or the preg h so he could get info, but what was the private investigator for then. But no it was just another moment of him getting caught and saying it isnt what it seems.
When was going to marry the other woman why would pictures have been anywhere? They are just to nobody's. He want rich and successful yet.
It was obvious from the beginning about james. I dont get how they all could see him and not instantly say something so it got a little annoying

- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2025The... uh, author?... should make an effort - any effort - to learn the basic fundamentals of the craft.
Just the minor things: syntax, formatting, punctuation, grammar - the tiresome tools that make a manuscript into a novel that can be... oh, read?

- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2024The story was good, but definitely needs proofreading. It was difficult finishing because of the grammar errors and lack of consistency in the telling of the story. This book has potential.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2023Choppy read. The h in this story is too forgiving to this really stupid H. I couldn’t believe the ease that he worked his way back in after 7, that’s right 7 years. I’m debating on reading her rock star book but a review says the h forgives too many times. Looks like this author has a habit of writing doormat hs.
