Life on any of the islands - the Vineyard, Nantucket, Block Island - has a very certain character and charm. She draws this so well in the telling of the tale that, if you have been there, it brings you right back, and if you haven't been there, the world is created here so perfectly that you feel like you have. A real gem of a discovery.

    I thought the first two books were good, and they were!! Couldn't turn the pages fast enough but the 3rd in the Distant Series proved to go deeper into the characters lives with all the twist and turns. Made me unable to stop reading, and then she wraps it all up with an ending that tied up all the loose ends. Such a sweet story of a close knit of family and friends who help and support each other. While reading the book you got to know all the characters in the book and it seemed you were right there with them in Nantucket. I'm so grateful the author was able to crank out these 3 books so fast and close together so each story was still fresh in my mind.
