- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2022I suppose I was misled when suggested to take a look at this book. I thought what may have been a support book for those looking towards or aspiring to achieve in life, instead turned out to be a book solely about seeking help. Perhaps towards my own biases, this book seemed to reinforce the stereotype of the millennial who is somehow precious and unable to tackle life in a large way. While that may seem harsh, I guess this book does serve those who really need assistance and help overcoming obstacles. I commend the in-depth research on the given subject.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2022Asking for help is something you don't realize you struggle with until you read an entire book on the topic. My favorite quote had to be "Closely tied to the desire for a quick resolution is the lack of desire to pivot or take a new path." I think one of the biggest reasons we don't ask for help is because we aren't ready to accept a new solution. Belle addresses the mindset behind asking for help, what it can do for our lives, and how to get past blocks keeping us from receiving help.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2022I just graduated from college last July 20 and I am still adjusting from being a college student to being a young professional. It was true that we experience burnout a lot and there are times when we actually do not want to seek help from others. This book was actually an eye-opener for me. Raise your hand!
