    thieving favorite in the series thus far 💖and I fell like that is saying something because I loved them all so far. Drakkarwas raised to be isolated and alone because his people tend to be aggressive and passive by nature. So he live in isolation but he's knows deep down that something is missing. He seen a few of his battle brothers call in love with this human mates and wish he to could have that. When he agrees to help the others find their brides he never for a minute believes her find his. Kitty was young and naive when a n older guy took advantage of her. Her mother through her out and that how she ended up living in this small backwards town. Once again she feel prey not a man who said he wanted to help her. It instead got her pregnant and treated her like crap. The night not that dance she's rescued by Drakkar when her ex tries to hurt her. Drakkar takes both Kitty and her daughter to his cave and he realizes this is the family he's always wanted and even though he feel he doesn't deserve them he wants them with all of his heart. This story was beautifully told two lonely souls with so much love to give find one another and end up rescuing eachother!     I loved Drakkar and Kitty’s alien-human, single mom, forced proximity, snowed in, healing romance. The story had a good balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, big feels, and spice. Drakkar is a dragon warrior alien with medical training. His culture encourages isolationism. Despite this he chose to join a war and following the end of the war, he and his six brothers in arms purchased a sprawling ranch on the planet Cresca. Kitty is human who lives in the nearby town. She is also the unmarried single mom of baby Lola. She is shunned by the townspeople. When some of Drakkar’s brothers misconstrue a human story and go to town to find brides, Drakkar goes with them to keep them safe. While watching, he rescues Kitty from an assault and flies her and Lola away to his cave. A blizzard keeps them trapped together and allows them time to connect. I loved the way that they realize that despite there many vast differences, the things they needed were very similar. Despite being short, the story was well written, the characters had dimension, and the storyline was engaging. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the brothers’ love stories.

    I have Read all of this authors books, and this one is delightful as well !!
    In this book , we get Drakkar's story. He is the winged medic of the group .
    He, along with two of his brothers have put plans into motion to get themselves brides. Except Drakkar doesn't need or want a bride. His culture are loners by nature. He didn't even meet his parents until he was old enough to be on his own. When he was weaned, he was sent to a creshe or a home for children , where he was raised . When he came of age, he got his own place , and after that went into the military where he meet his brothers at arms. His real family. So , he is really going in this adventure to watch his brothers back, in case of trouble.
    Kitty is a young lady on her own . She is not from this particular town , just ended up here. One thing led to another, and now she has had few options for employment in a town that is so archaic and old fashioned . She was alone , and not married, and easily taken advantage of ......
    As Drakkar is watching over the town waiting for his brothers, he notices Kitty in the window.
    And when she needs someone to help her , he flies to her rescue !!!
    Both of these people were sweet and they each needed what the other could supply . I loved the way they came together, and how the story moves forward. And , as Always , I am excited to read the next book !!!!

    Poor Kitty hasn’t had the best luck with the males in her life. She’s been used and abused and taken advantage of, leaving her a single mother in a town with decidedly old fashioned values.
    Drakkar comes from a society that doesn’t do mates. When he saves Kitty, he decides to take her and her daughter Lola back to the farmhouse, but when a snowstorm arrives, her finds himself stranded with her.

    This is the love story between a particularly giving woman, and a male who is in control all the time. He helps her to learn the difference between true love and gratitude, while she teaches him how not to be alone and how to feel.
    I particularly loved Kitty’s reaction upon first seeing Drakkar, and how incredibly patient he is with baby Lola.

    This is a sweet and quick read, and though it can be read as a standalone it works best when read as part of the series and in order (Benjar’s plan is explained in far more detail in his book).
    An enjoyable sci-fi romance for fans of the genre.

He flies through her window and rescues Kitty and Lola. He is very attracted to Kitty, but Arkani people live alone .......
    I loved to read the book. Drakkar is a very rational thinking, but also very warm hearted type and very caring. Kitty doesn't have luck in her relationships, she always fits the wrong kind of man, so in the beginning she is careful. Later on she opens up and encourages Drakkar to break with the stiff Arkani rules.
    I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next installment in this series.

    Drakkar an Alien with wings, tall and built flies to town to keep an eye on his brothers while they secrete away their ‘brides’. He gets distracted by a beautiful woman in her room at the highest part of a house. Humans, most persons, never look up so he flies above quite freely. This woman looks up and down! Intrigued by her, he sets in to absorb her vibes before flying back home to the ranch, after making sure his brothers are ok in their mission. Things happen, things change and he rescues a woman, Kitty, who is in real distress.
