I found the book cute, charming and adorable. What a perfect way to teach children numbers, alphabets and animal names! Parents and grandparents can use the book as a good bedtime story book for their kids and grandkids. This interactive book is also useful in the classroom. Teaching kids and making it enjoyable is not always easy. That is when books like this are good. They are not only educational but also delightful and successful in holding the attention of young readers.
The best books to introduce children to when they start reading are books that convey good messages, ideas, concepts and thoughts so that learning is easy and effortless. The alphabet search in the book is helpful in finding out if kids understood the concept of counting. It's a book definitely worth having.

About the author

John Priest - born in West Midlands, UK.
John Priest is an experienced writer of children's books. He has been writing for children since the 80's, with several books self-published and others published by Traditional Educational Publishers in UK and USA. He has worked in schools in Additional Needs/Special needs Departments, has been a School Governor in Primary School and a teacher/trainer/assessor within Adult Education. He brings all of this experience and knowledge into his books, together with a good sprinkling of humour and fun.
I write for children because I enjoy seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter during school visits. I love listening to their knowledge and 'freshness' of their ideas about the world around them. I like to think I help nurture their creative thoughts and to show them they are capable of being anything they want to be, but first they have to learn and have FUN while they're learning!
A new children's book has recently been published and received a fantastic 5 star review from Readersfavorite.com

- Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2015Love this book that will grow with your child. This book will assist a child in animal recognition, identification, letter recognition and identification, number identification and recognition, and counting numbers. The photos and print is large and easy to read. As a child learns, she can interact with the pictures by answering the simple questions. I read the book on a kindle finding no formatting issues. Following the alphabet, readers will find a bonus hide and seek game, hidden picture, and matching activity.
Book can be used first with recognition, then identification, counting, and finally as an interactive game. Great activity for siblings to share, a bedtime story, or a preschool classroom activity
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2015I really like this book! My 23 month old wants to read it several times a day and his face just lights up when we start reading it to him. My husband and I really like the multi purpose function of it teaching him the alphabet and counting at the same time and our toddler loves the animals. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2015The book is fun for young ones, and those who just starting to learn English alphabet. The fun is in the simplicity, it's easy to follow, not intimidating or complicated. My younger kid enjoyed searching and counting the letters and once we finished he wanted to go through it again. Some animals are less 'common' or intuitive for young kids (Newt? Meerkat?) .
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2016I didn't dislike this book but at the same time, I didn't love it, either. My son repeated the names of the animals as I read them to him but did not seem overly interested in it. It was just okay, in my opinion.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2015Wonderful book. Great way for your kids to learn their letters.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2015I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review. My little one loved all of the animals she is a little to young to recognize all the letters, but she loved the animals.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2018I found this book perfect for the young children with autism. It is so simple. They learn their animals, abcs and counting. It works really well with this population of students and with a young group of preschool-age kids. They really were engaged and having fun. I was too.
I received this book free but this is my honest opinion on this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2015My two year old has really been on a ‘new word’ kick of as of recently. He loves when he can recognize new words, and he really gets a kick out of being able to read his little story books to me. As a proud mommy, I’m always trying to keep the love of learning going for him. When I read through and reviewed Animal Alphabet Search: Learn your ABC’s and 1,2,3’s by John Priest, I knew that this was going to be a fun book to add to our learning collection!
This book provides a fun an engaging way for young kids to learn ABC’s, numbers, and basic sight words. The images and simple words work so well to keep kids interested, but at the same time does not overwhelm them with information. The child is able to go through the book at their own pace, and then given fun games at the conclusion of the book to work through. I find my son regularly telling me words that he associates with letters (A is for alligator, for example).
I received a complimentary copy of the ebook to facilitate a review. This opinion is 100% my own

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a great book, nice bold colourings and not too much ...
This is a great book, nice bold colourings and not too much wording on the pages so makes for a great read not only by adults but also children learning to read.
The book of the aplaphbet and has different animals in a tale and also has counting exercises counting the letter on the corresponding animals.
The book goes right the way through the alphabet and has some different animals than the normal ones in the alphabet i.e Koala, seahorse, Quail,Newt and so forth
All the animals have great colourings and detailing to them.
The colouring of the book is so vivid, solid and bold on the ipad screen and it is just like having the book in your hands.. certainly do not miss not holding the book as everything is just as it would be in paper
