But both are God's creations, and He loves them very much. Help your child. Understand how amazing and wonderful they are with Because God Made Me I Am Special by Crystal Mary Lindsey. This colorful and fun book will help your child appreciate and be content with who they are in their childhood and beyond. This book grabs the reader's attention right from the first page. We are invited into the story by a boy named Laish and a girl named Serenity. The boy's name is biblical and means "lion," while the girl's name means "godly peace." Besides having cool names, these two have lots of fun. Laish enjoys playing with little machines like toy tractors, while Serenity cares for her dolls. Crystal Mary Lindsey's attention to detail is evident as corresponding illustrations describe each element of the growing-up process in colorful images. resembling cartoon screenshots. Lindsey uses simple wording and just a few sentences on every page. Whether an adult or a child, you feel an underlying vibe reverberating from the pages, encouraging you to be glad about who you are. This book will be a favorite for children and appeal to adults and parents-to-be, as there is a list of children’s names and meanings. I picked Zina for my unborn daughter. Because God Made Me I Am Special was a wonderful reading experience, I hope to read more by this author.

Crystal Mary Lindsey is a retired healthcare professional, widow of Raymond, a Vietnam Veteran and past U.S. Marine. She is also a mother, and devoted grandmother.

She discovered her passion for writing following her retirement from the demanding world of hospitals.

Her hobbies include art, reading, gardening, and research, plus touching lives for Jesus whenever possible.

Her profound appreciation for the transformative power of reading ignited the spark that led her to embark on a writing journey. She has an unwavering goal to encourage and inspire her readers to a more contented state of mind.

As a spiritual Christian, Crystal has been touched by many unexplainable human experiences, which occasionally find their way into her stories. These add depth and intrigue to her narratives and create a unique and compelling blend of spirituality to her storytelling.

Crystal lived and worked in Tennessee with her husband, first as a counselor and after completing medical Boards, as a specialist R.N. In 2007, Raymond decided they would move back to Crystal's home in Queensland, Australia. She has remained there since Raymonds accidental death in 2022.

I purchased this book for my great-grandchildren. The colorful, fun cover caught my attention and I loved the title. The first thing I noticed when I opened up the book was a page for the purchaser to put a child's name. Then as I read through the pages I noticed the messages with corresponding illustrations had been well thought out. The storyline from each page is easy to read and a young child could read it or to one of their siblings. The illustrations are quality drawings in bright colors to attract the eye of a young child and each one is unique to the story. The page that caught my attention the most is the one titled "Be happy who you are," instilling the message that each one of us is special and unique. There is also a prayer and at the back a section with boys' and girls' names and their meanings. Overall, a great book for any parent that wants to bring the message of God's love to any child. The cover is slick and can be wiped clean when necessary. Highly recommended.
