    The board is set, and now, over 1000 years in the future it is time for the REAL story to begin! As much as I loved the prequel Kingdom of Shadows- Death of Love it was definitely usurped by this awesome sequel. Unburdend from the need to create the backstory, The Crimson Eye is able to get into the action at a quick pace. The characters are wonderfully grey, lacking the sparkling white perfection that can be such a turn off in so many fantasy tales. They come across as relatable, with dilemas and attractions and even responsibilities. Crimson Eye explores the corruption of power, the cost of duty and loyalty, the often unpredictable entanglements love creates, and the ripples single events can create across time. I can't wait to see how it continues in book three!

    All I have to say is Draken! See even when they are hundreds of years old they still act 2 sometimes. He over here running me hot and cold, saying one thing and doing another. Geez. The story started off a little bit of a slow but man did the plot make up for it. A lot of things happened through out this book and all of it was fantastic. It had a little bit of everything. Dragons - check, Adventure - check, Magic - double check. I can't wait for the next book I feel things are really going to hit the fan. More so with the people around Neema but I don't think she is out of the woods yet especially not with that voice that tends to haunt her through out. I am very interested in this mysterious voice. I hope to see more of these shadow creatures that Ravina has made in the next one I like the concept of them and would like to know more. I am also hoping she talks to the dragons some more. Neema and her brother I don't think they realize what they have all gotten themselves drawn into. These people they are around have been doing this for a very long time and they just got pulled in kind of.

    Do you like Dragons, Witches, Fae, Battles, Family Drama, Love and all things fantasy? Then dive into the Kingdoms of Shadows Series.
    This story takes place 1000 years after Listitia's story and follows her children's journey of discovering who they really are and a family history that has been kept from them. Until Now!
    The world building is amazing, the characters lovable or NOT and entertaining til the very end. I literally could not put this book down!! And can't wait for the next one.

    After the first book, you can believe that I SPRINTED to kindle when this released. Omg! First I love the slow burn factor, always one of my favorites. Second, this story is enthralling. First chapter in and I was done for, I could not put it down. I definitely stayed up way too late reading, but absolutely no regrets. Just like the first book the story detail and lore is consuming and enticing. The way Zivah tells a story is impressive to say the least. And the dragon prince, whew! "He's a 10, but he's literally ink on paper" 😅 cannot wait for book 3! Will absolutely be buying the set for my bookshelf!
