Bury Me Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 990 ratings

The world ended the night I was born. Coincidence? I think not.

Stuck living in the catacombs underneath what used to be NYC, I’ve managed to stay hidden… and alive… and safe… ish.

But when my guardian fails to return from a supply run, I’m forced to contemplate life on the surface.

Worse? Three warriors have infiltrated my home, insisting that I am the last gold dragon they’ve been searching for. That everything I know–everything I’ve believed–is a lie.

And more?

They each think they’re mated… to me.

**Bury Me is a spicy standalone paranormal romance in the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe. You can expect 'touch her and I'll unalive you' vibes and three sinfully hot, super growly mates who will do anything to keep her. Mature themes will be present. Reader discretion is advised.**

I first read Bury Me on Kindle Unlimited and loved it so much I bought the book which I just got a week ago to re-read and add to my collection of favorites. I really enjoyed the development of Cira as she learned who she was outside of the catacombs and the growing connection with her mates Alex, Isaac and Ronan. Not to mention the lip biting, finger licking spicy scenes with her mates. I also really enjoyed the way this book tied together with the first book of the Series Covet Me. Don’t want to give anything away but it was great to see how they all tied together.

Love the characters and how they all tie together from the other stories in the series. The plots and storyline is really interesting. All the twists and turns throughout the journey are impressive and intriguing. I can hardly wait to get to the next books in this world!!!

I liked Cira, Alex, Isaac, and Ronan. Cira was kept down in the catacombs under the city and raised their by her guardian. For 50 years, she never had seen the sun until people came looking for her. She tried to leave the catacombs on her own, but she couldn’t do it. She was too scared of the outside world. Then she gets rescued by three handsome men before she almost dies, and then she realizes that all three of the guys that rescued her were her mates. For somebody who only read about mates in a book she definitely seem to know what to do with them. The storyline in this book was good. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the sex scenes. Got very explicit, especially when they were having a foursome.

This book was spicy! I don't usually read reverse harem books because usually the story is lost in all the sex. Not this book. The story is the meat of the matter here and the spice, well the spice is the dessert you didn't know you wanted!

The characters were wonderful. Snarky, strong, butt kicking yes. But also empathetic, human (even though they are anything BUT), and relatable of all things! The fact that they ALL were SO powerful but truly only wanted peace for EVERYONE was what struck me the most. That is the kind of story I want to hear! Sure revenge and violence were there, and I love that too but the balance was PERFECT!

Per usual the snark was there in full force. Annie Anderson writes sarcasm and snark like a Goddess I tell you. I found myself laughing out loud involuntarily SO many times throughout this book I lost count.

I very much enjoyed the world this was written in and now I must go and read the rest of the Immortal Vices books.

Genuinely can NOT wait for the next book Annie puts out!.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another amazing book in this shared world. I absolutely love each one. And this one will definitely pull at your heart strings.
Ciera has lived with her "guardian," underneath the city's streets, to stay alive. Little did she know just how close the danger really was. When she finally gets to street level, she finds there's so much more to the world than what she thought.
This book will give you all the feels, and her mates are yummy, too. We get a little peek at some past characters and how everyone is involved with everyone else.
Dive in and enjoy this book

Before you get mad at this review for only three stars! Let me explain, yes I have reviewed before and if you had read those comments you’d realize two things. One I like this author, Two I do not sleep well and tend to ramble and my grammar suffers.

Now I was very upset with the amount of random name dropping on here , I’ve read most of the series now but unless you are reading them back to back you also will never remember all the names listed. However I noticed multiple times that people were called the wrong name or not introduced until way later.

If you don’t care about name grammar mistakes then this review is not of consequence to you! But if you wanna know whaaaat I’m talking about and why I am losing my sh—ambles. I shall actually post a couple of quotes! This time , yes I am learning to show them receipts my gals and pals ,and they’s plus faes!

So if you lived fifty years in the catacombs of a city. And met your mates for one day that day you not only claimed they tried to kidnap and help others do so and not trust them at all. Then the next day you say “ so far, the three of you have treated me better than anyone has my entire life…” I call horse extremities all over this conversation and plot idea. HOWEVER! Stop frowning at me. I know I know it’s annoying to read someone mistrusting and arguing about the mate bond. I get why this Author skipped it. It becomes redundant it just also makes little sense not to fix this with an easy time skip and build trust with time. I really should be an editor…

Now for the most confusing statement with Moriah, why I’m somehow mentioned in this series I havnt a clue. I’ve never met this author I swear however the Main Cair ? Cari? character says she’s NOT seen Moriah since their first meeting when she healed her after an attack and was dropped promptly into her pit of despair. Then later! Of course later when you wouldn’t have noticed, but ah I did cause I’m mad. “She had always looked out for me giving me supplies when I was in need” So obviously they had a much stronger relationship that was hinted at after not before which was very very confusing.

Again I understand why this Author tried to make it less plot holed. With the idea she had no allies and her mates needed to rescue her I get that. But it would have made more sense if Moriah could not be reached the tunnels being very vast. Etc or being attacked while she was being hunted. (Yada yada someone pay me for this honestly. )

Where are the name typos? You ask in exasperation from reading my hilarious rants? “Rye no I don’t like these tunnels” who is Rye? No one there ! That’s for sure.
“I followed Malcom and Alex through these tunnels” who’s Malcom? Well that’s again not explained until after he randomly appears. It’s Moriah’s right hand man which isn’t explained either when it’s said randomly at the beginning of a chapter “Malcom has thawed quite a bit” who? What? Where, I’m missing a story that I don’t remember because it’s been forever.

And with that I bid you a please edit and a due.

Cira (dragon shifter), Alex (alpha griffin shifter), Isaac (master vampire), Ronan (fire fae).
Kept virtually imprisoned in the underground systems of New York City, Cira knows things aren’t going well when she is attacked by shifters.
Alex, Isaac, and Ronan had plans: they didn’t include a dragon shifter as their mate or the need to protect her from everyone hunting her.
Not that Cira really needs protection…

Although this is a standalone story, it is in a multi-author shared world, and might have mild spoilers for Covet Me and other books in the series.
That being said, this is an enjoyable, darker, dystopian fantasy, where our heroes have been through a lot, and have to fight for their very survival.
It’s an engrossing tale, with some spice, and a definite sense of vindication when certain events occur (have to cheer them on!).
Those who enjoy their fantasy on the darker side, and of course dragon fans, will enjoy this one.
