- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2025I found more of my French Canadian ancestors they don’t need hope to find. It also verified that my research is correct. I really enjoyed both volumes.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2024If you don't know when your ancestor arrived in New France, then prepare for spending a lot of time going through the 5 or 6 pages date by date. And if that wasn't bad enough try finding what page they are on. A listing of his website gives you nothing but his blog that hasn't been updated since 2022. The numbers with the names must be from his own family tree as there is nothing connecting it to anything.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024Found more information about my Canadian families.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2023Wish I had purchased the kindle version rather than hardcopy because it would be easier to search. I purchased both books. Good info but missing some families.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2024I purchased these books to help with my family research only to find that my families surname was not listed. Based on extensive research I know that my ancestors arrived in Canada in 1658. These books had nothing on them. This book also does not include the "Kings Daughters" a group of women who volunteered to travel to Canada. I found these books very hard to find information in, it would have been helpful to have an indec. One last thing, I could not ind the publisher name, address or date of publication, items needed for correct reference listing.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2023As a genealogist who descends from many Canadians I'm hoping this book will have some information I'm looking for.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2022I bought both volumes 1 and 2. A lot of information for the included family names however, it’s missing several prominent names including my ancestors, Nicolas and Robert Rivard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent compilation of records
I have been going through this book, page by page, comparing it to family tree records and cross referencing in my Ancestry notes. There is far more here than I have been able to find elsewhere, in a decade. It is a good check to the records that I do have in my family trees. The only difference I found was because the origional records disagreed. An addition that I would have like to seen, so far, would be an index to names.
I highly recommend this and the volume 2 to anyone who is working of a French Canadian ancestry or is really interested in life in New France.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good for a target on the rifle range
The cover was correct but the story inside was a fictional story about a gay relationship. No thanks.
