Falling for the Devil: The Fallen Angel Series Kindle Edition

3.8 out of 5 stars 32 ratings

A delightfully devilish and sexy reimagined tale of Lucifer’s fall from the heavens.

USA Today Bestselling Author KC Freeman takes readers on an extraordinary adventure to discover why the once beloved archangel of light fell and became the greatest evil to ever exist.

The Goddess of the Hunt ~ Diana
She only wanted to prove her worth to her misogynistic family, but this…this is an epic mistake! Sure, she can hunt anything and slay any manner of beast. But unfamiliar and dangerous feelings threaten to overwhelm her when she falls in love at first sight with the archangel of light. Just one moment is all it will take for a far greater danger than any mythical monster to ensnare her.

The Archangel of Light ~ Lucifer
Never once in all of creation has the reputed most beautiful angel in the heavens been tempted into sin until…her.
The goddess, Diana, is young, a skilled hunter, and beyond beautiful. Alluring in her innocence, Lucifer experiences feelings he never knew possible—the same emotions he scorned in humanity.

Lucifer would prefer to fly away from Olympus, never to lay eyes on Diana again, never to be tempted to surrender to the sin of lust that now consumes his soul, but when the Creator demands Diana’s assistance to track down an angel killer, he has no other choice but to obey.

Together they will seek divine vengeance, but in doing so they risk more than their lives…they risk succumbing to sin and unleashing the Devil himself.

Oh, how the mighty will fall!

About the Author

After leaving the corporate world to raise her five rambunctious children with her husband in North Carolina, KC Freeman eventually found her way back to her lifelong desire to write fiction filled with supernatural creatures, especially angels--her favorite.

Prior to Rekindled Prophecy: Greylyn the Guardian Angel Series Book 1, she contributed a paranormal romance short story to the Autumn/Winter 2017 anthology The Bowman's Inn. Another paranormal romance short story where readers can be introduced to an upcoming character in the Greylyn saga can be found in the After Dark: 9 Modern Takes on Classic Fairy Tales anthology. Another guardian angel finally gets his own story in Renegade Angel, to be included with the Realm of Darkness boxset to be released October 2022.

When she is not writing, KC is running her children to practices, football games, swim meets, wrestling tournaments, and generally all over town. In her spare time ... who are we kidding? She does not have any of that.

I loved the adventure and romance in this book! Plus the cover is so pretty. I read the blurb and immediately wanted to read it. I read it and I was happy that I did. It kept me entertained the whole time I never put it down. Highly recommend!.

While the was well written it was kind of slow for me in the beginning. At first I had a harder time connecting with it. I am not saying that it isn’t good but slower in the beginning. It does pick up after a little bit. It is a interesting concept of Greek Mythology and Fallen Angels. We journey alongside of Lucifer and Diana (Artemis) as they discover each other and the huge secret. It becomes a mystery that needs to be solved. It started to draw me in as I needed to see what all the games were about. What all the secrets were about. The descriptions in the story really were vivid and helped to picture what was occurring throughout the story. It is a good read.

If there isn't a book that provides this one with a better future, I will not read the next one. I was left disappointed.

Thank you to the author, K.C. Freeman, and Henry Roi PR for an advance digital copy of FALLING FOR THE DEVIL.

This lovely book is essentially a romance between, not just two desirable characters who appear in a great deal of contemporary fiction (especially Lucifer, also called Lucie in these pages). It is also a romance between angel mythology and the Greek pantheon, a wonderful story to watch play out.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would at the outset, when I worried the the two main characters, Diana and Lucifer, would spend the majority of the book fighting with each other. But that isn't the story Freeman tells and I was vastly entertained from a very early point in the narrative.

Also, wow, this book is spicy, and Freeman writes erotic scenes with a simple beauty that is appreciable. Three hot chillis 🔥🌶

    ⭐⭐⭐✨ (3.75/5)

Thank you to Henry Roi PR for an advanced copy for review.
What I really enjoyed about this book was the unique combination of angel and Greek mythologies. Usually these are presented separately from each other, so I found having them presented in tandem made for a unique storyline. I also enjoyed this alternate origin story for Lucifer, showing his downfall from heavenly being to the ruler of hell.
This book has quite a bit of spicy scenes, and while I could appreciate it, the romance in general was a little too insta love for me. I usually enjoy a bit more of a slow burn with my romances.
I also found the two main characters to be downright annoying at times. They were irrational, illogical, and lacked a sense of self awareness that took away from their relationship.
What really completed the book for me was the ending, which ended up being a bit of a twist I didn't see coming. Overall, I did enjoy Falling for the Devil, and I would recommend it to those who typically read paranormal romance.

this was a great start to the Fallen Angel series, it was what I was hoping for in a Greek Myth retelling. The characters were what I expected and worked well in this universe. I enjoyed the way KC Freeman wrote this and can't wait to read more from them.

    * I received a free copy of this book from Voracious Readers Only *

I thought this was a good read! In the beginning I was intrigued, both with how the author set up the scene, and how they introduced the world of gods. However, as I got farther into the story, I felt like I was losing a bit of interest in the story. I did really like the dynamic between Lucifer and Diana, as there were rules that both had to follow in order to fulfill their destinies. The ending was surprising, but I really liked the direction that the author took. Interesting read!
