Snares of the Devil Kindle Edition
Sometimes that meant fighting off the wolves.
When a local parish finds themselves without a priest, Father Woosley stepped onto the pulpit, ready to fight sin with his new congregation and to bring the word that had saved him so many times.
When he is visited by a divine power promising to help him purge the unearthly evil from the hearts of his congregation, Father Woosley believes his prayers have been answered. As darkness spreads malignant and ruthless through the church, and an insidious presence sinks its claws into his soul, he realizes that even the faithful can fall.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2024Father Woolsey becomes the priest in a small, country town. The place has had a hard go with their clergymen in the past, and Father Woolsey intends to turn things around in his new church. Unfortunately, there are other forces and plans already in the works. It is quite a journey, full circle from questioning his faith, to realizing that is all he has to depend upon. Losing those that he was trying to protect, and bringing them all back full circle. He is fully unaware that the ones before him had made deals that would effect the entire town, and each resident. Faith finally rules over fear. Great read! Never get a story to disappoint, coming from Candace.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2024First and foremost, the imagery in the book is spectacular. I truly felt as if I was reading a movie.
Now on to Father Woosley: that demon was NOT letting up once he sunk his hooks in the priest. Switching forms, preying on the man’s own insecurities, it took a lot for him to break free, only to end up…
Let us prey. Great read as always.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2024First of all let me start by telling you not much spooks me or scares me.
This book hit me in the gut like nothing else, demon possessing has always been the only thing
scare me since i saw the movie The Exorcist as a teenager.
That is today the most scary movie I seen and this book gives me the same kind of vibes.
This book will want you to crawl under the blanket and hide but in a good way well written as all of Candace Books.
And she managed to end the story the only way it probably could.
A new master piece from one of my absolute favorite horror authors.
Recommending you all to read the rest of her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2024OMG, what a read. This book will grab you from the very beginning and keep you hooked and reading until the last page. You cant put it down. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for the flow of the story, not too fast nor too slow but the perfect speed for an enjoyable read. The characters are amazing and you will love them and the story will leave you guessing until the end and then you are needing more. This book is a must read. No doubt about it. It has to be read.
