    This fun, spicy romance, with its relatable characters, sparkling dialogue, and exciting twists, was a great escape, which is what I look for in a romance. I love how Ms. Camp brought Alexander‘s posh world to life and the way she showed Alexander and Olivia falling in love with one another while faking their relationship to thwart Alexander’s wealthy and powerful father. As I read, I could feel the characters’ inner conflicts and desires, and I couldn’t help smiling at Olivia’s independent and inquisitive streaks, all of which made it hard to put the book down. At first, Alexander appeared to be your typical hardworking, reluctant groom, but as it turned out, he had far more depth and totally won me over. My only complaint is that the story flew by too quickly. I wish Ms. Camp had made it twice as long!

    This book is a mix of arranged marriage and fake relationship tropes. Fake relationship trope is one of my favorites. I have read a great many of them and I keep coming back, even though I know they all end pretty much the same way. Its about the game, the chemistry between the main characters. How they slowly fall in love when they think they are just faking those little touches and kisses. I love how it all plays out and Deborah Camp wrote this one very well. I enjoyed that Alexander fell first. He was afterall the one accused of only had "pillow partners" in his life. A super fun read, I highly recommend.

    My Sentiments:

    Alexander Grant had been given no choice in what his dad had planned for his son, which was to get him married so he could take over as CEO of the family business. However, after several times Alexander had problems with certain ladies to match, he decided to put a plan that would work for him, but will it work out for Alexander and Olivia Barnes [the lady Alexander had chosen]? There will be many twists and turns in this story, so you will have to keep up with the story to see what happens, as Alexander's relative will help cause many problems in this whole situation.

    Again, will this work out for Alexander and Olivia? Will Alexander get his chosen one? You must pick up this good romantic HEA read to see how well it all comes out.

    Alexander Grant has been engaged three times, but never quite made it to the day of final commitment. His father had had enough. He held the family business promotion over Alexander’s head if he didn’t choose one of the woman he’d selected for Alexander to marry.
    Olivia Barnes’ friend was invited to the party and couldn’t attend so Olivia, a freelance journalist, went in her place. Olivia Barnes goes along with this scheme for her own reasons and has no intention of becoming Grant’s wife. She had her own agenda, and marrying the arrogant, Alexander Grant wasn’t it.
    When the betrothal was announced, Olivia knew there was something deep behind this debacle and she was going to find out what that was…
    Quick moving, enjoyable, and wonderful story that grasps the reader from the very first page. This reader loves feisty main characters, they just make the stories rock!

    It’s a great storyline! Alexander works long hours, is dedicated to the company owned by his father, and can’t seem to maintain a female relationship. In fact, he has walked away from fiancé's at least three times. Then a dynamo freelance writer slips into a private event which houses the very wealthy and infuses an instant irritation into the room. I had to laugh! Olivia made me smile all the way through the book and I wanted to stand by her stubborn side and say “go girl” at many moments. Thanks for a wonderful story that kept me reading way past midnight. It’s another great read by this author.

    Deborah Camp doesn't disappoint with her newest novel. Posh Alexander has to listen to his father, or he isn't going to get to move up the ladder like he's been trained to do. This serial groom-to-be feels like he doesn't need to settle down to be complete. After a chance meeting with Olivia at an arranged soiree, Alexander has a plan to thwart his father's schemes. I love how the characters are brought to life in Ms. Camp's books. Witty dialogue coupled with a little bit of steam makes this book completely fun and entertaining read.
