I bought both volumes of this book on Canadian ancestry I was very pleased to see some of my ancestors in the book. It shared information on the families and their progeny. It was very useful to me and my search for ancestors.

I have found this book, as well as the other volume, to be interesting and helpful in researching my family's genealogy.

No index, no idea of how to find your ancestors, numbering system gives no clue as to how to use it and what it's for.

I purchased these two books to add to my reseach lib., only to find out many of the French men amd women (Kings Daughters) who risked life and limb to come to the "New World" are missing, There were 3 of my ancestor who came and none of them are listed. Speaking of "listing", this book has NO index of names which would help researchers. And I could not find the piblisher's name or location??? If you want to spend a lot of time looking through each page to find your ancestor, have fun.

This author does wonderful work and I am looking forward to seeing volumes 3and4. My family from several lines should be included but is missing from volumes 1 and 2?

I was looking for Etienne Campeau who arrived in New France in 1659/1660. Very disappointed that he is not included in either volume because he was one of the seven 'Argoulets' esteemed for their bravery. He married one of the first 'filles du roi', Catherine Paulo. They had 15 children, 13 lived to adulthood. I would be interested to know why the author decided not to include him and his numerous descendants.
