This book continues a series of books on medieval European history. The book includes aristocratic family histories from all the major powers of the early medieval period. The previous book, Volume I, also focused on the aristocratic families, but was from an earlier time period. In this book the timeline of events of the aristocratic parents, their children, and their interactions with the rest of the aristocracy is detailed. All source information for the histories is provided with each family. There is little commentary. The reader is guided through the historical events as they unfold.
