As she and Marcus Ricci dig into her background, they’ll discover surprises that shake everything she believes to be true about her past. Chris and Marcus's story was filled with many twists and turns, a page turner from the fist paragraph, but still a very well written story. I normally do not read dark thrillers. I found this book to be darker than the first two in this series, however, I understood the reasoning. The darkness had to be there for the reader to understand the dynamics of a very complicated character. I look forward to reading Jakes story and know as this series continues it keeps getting better. I encourage all my reader friends to pick up this fantastic series whether you just like mysteries or paranormal. Jerrie Alexander will peak your interest from Book 1 and your interest will grow from there! This Series is so good I am sad when each of these stories end. I want to read more about Kaycee, Nate, Ty, Anna, Chris and Marcus. I hope we continue to read about them in Jakes story. Yes, you will feel like they have become your family or even your friends. Now, onto Jakes story and I will let you know my thoughts on that book. Jerrie Alexander you have become one of my favorite authors. Your stories have beauty, bravery, and grit. Love the Series!

This is my third book and my second read in this series and I was anxiously waiting for Marcus's story especially after reading about him in the second installment Cold Day in Hell. It started off quickly with a damsel in distress, needing the services of the Lost and Found, Inc. The heroine, Christine interrupts a crime against her sister and is now the target of his wrath. After having lost so much in such a short time, she's unable to find peace. At her wits end, she is referred to the agency by an FBI agent. Marcus is a strong, honorable ex-soldier who can't get past the fact he wasn't there to protect his young wife from dying in a car accident. Their last words were less than stellar so, he's living with crushing guilt. From the start, there's a connection between Chris and Marcus, but he doesn't believe he's worthy of a second chance. When he realizes Chris is an animal lover and his dog Diablo is an instant admirer, he really begins to open his emotions little by little. The author develops the characters slowly and we see Christine is no wilting flower. She actually can sometimes be too strong-willed for her own good. She finally realizes, there is more strength in numbers as she's totally blown away when they uncover more and more about who her protagonist is. Diablo was a joy to read and was a perfect compliment to Marcus's character. I liked the way the author didn't instantaneously allow Marcus to overcome his issues with his past. I'm especially looking forward to reading Jake's story as he was introduced in the first book. Ms. Alexander gives you tidbits of background from earlier books so, even if you've not read them back to back, you can quickly pick up the story line. Overall, an enjoyable read and would definitely recommend.

For starters, I just want to say how much I enjoy Jerrie Alexander's writing. She does a great job of weaving a delicate web of emotions, suspense, tenderness, heat, anticipation, and climax...both of them, if you know what I mean. And this book met all of those things and more.

Marcus is a stronger loner--super sexy, dog-loving man. I loved his character and dialogue that fit so well with Chris's story and personality. The sparks were perfectly timed and made for a really enjoyable read. And of course the suspense was well written. My only small complaint is that is seemed a bit rushed at the end. There was a lot of creep-factor and well-paced intensity throughout, but seemed to be thrown in pretty quickly at the end. It ended a bit too quickly and too easily. But bottom line, it's a great novel and addition to the Lost and Found, Inc. series. I can't wait to read the last one!

This book is my favorite so far. Neither character is denying their connection, and while I wish Chris had been braver about her feelings, Marcus's feelings for his dead wife were a good reason to stall. I love that Marcus isn't in denial of his feelings and wants to see where things go.

Another great suspenseful, thrilling read and of the Lost & Found series, this is the 3rd book. All have really great covers! About friends (strong alpha males)that have a PI business together.
Marcus has to dealing with feelings he would rather keep buried after his wife is killed by a drunk driver while he served in Afghanistan. When Chris walks into the office of Lost & Found to get help to find her sisters killer, the only family she has left. Marcus tries to protect Chris when the killer turns his sites onto her. Marcus is a bit of a loner happy living life with just his dog,Diablo. Sparks fly between them, but with a killer out there neither can act on their feelings until the killer is caught!
Highly recommend! Read the whole series or read anyone of them alone, but I would read them all!(less)

Just like the previous two books in the series this one didn’t disappoint and had everything you need in a good book, murder, suspense, romance and a HEA. I was hooked from the first page, the theme was unusual to say the least and I knew there would be more than a few hairs standing up on the back of my neck! As with a series it’s always good to catch up with previously loved characters and these characters are as close as any family.
Is it wrong to cry for a serial killer? When I read his backstory I cried, for the boy, for the injustice, for the people who helped make him the monster he turned into.
I can’t recommend this book, this series, highly enough Jerrie Alexander can certainly write!

I stayed interested all the way through, although a little predictable I still enjoyed every page. Unfortunately this was the first one I've read so need to now start at the begining of the series, but am looking forward to it, will start reading first thing in the morning.

Have been waiting impatiently for the next book in the Lost & Found Inc Series, and once again have not been disappointed.

These books are page turners and I found it hard to put the book down, and it is good to see that characters from the previous books in the series are still very much involved - including Diablo.

If you like your men tough but have a softer side where their ladies are concerned, then this series should be right for you

Ok if I'm honest I struggled a bit with this one. Took me longer to read than normal, Ty's story is still my favourite just felt this dragged a bit. Loved the characters as always just felt it could have been more.
