Mail Order Brides Sweet Western Romance: Stories of Loss and Love in the Old West - Book 2: Ellen's Doubt - Book 2 Kindle Edition
Book 2 in the "Stories of Loss and Love in the Old West" now just $0.99! Always FREE for Kindle Unlimited Members!
In this second book, “Ellen’s Doubt,” bestselling author Jenny Creek Tanner continues with the story of Ellen Mills as she and her mother receive terrible news.
Meet Ellen Mills. . .
Ellen and her mother have been anxiously been awaiting word from their father and husband, but the letter she held in her hand brought news that left her pale and weak-kneed. She handed the letter to her mother and walked away.
Everything would change now. Everything, and yet nothing all at the same time. How long had she and her mother and her younger siblings waited for word from Father? How many nights had she and her mother talked in low voices about the dark reality of the war and that, though they fought a good fight, even good fights took good people.
As she and her mother turned to work to support themselves, Ellen knew she must find another way. On a whim, she’d stopped by a bridal agency and, before she knew it, she was leaving as a bride-to-be, signed up and ready to meet the man they would find for her.
Meet Jeff Owens. . .
The repeating mantra of the West was that there were no reputable women. As much as he hated to admit it, it was true”"especially in the town of Patchwork, Kansas.
He’d talked with several of his ranching friends, many from other small towns just like Patchwork, and they’d all said the same thing when he’d talked about getting married. Find a mail order bride.
He’d gone back and forth about coming to the bridal agency, but when it was all said and done, coming home to an empty ranch house wasn’t how Jeff wanted to spend the rest of his days. He wanted to hear the sound of little feet running to and fro. He wanted to feel a warm body next to his in bed at night.
He wanted love.
˃˃˃ Will Jeff’s frequent absences from home grow doubt in Ellen’s mind about the man she’s married?
˃˃˃ Will Ellen discover that her feelings of doubt about marrying Jeff were wrong, and that deep down he loves her deeply?
˃˃˃ And will a frightening encounter with a supposedly upstanding man bring Ellen and Jeff together and help them fall in love deeper than either could have expected?

About the author

Jenny Creek Tanner is a bestselling Amazon author, and she's country girl at heart! She loves writing wholesome romantic stories about the American west of the 1800's. Her favorite stories are about the extraordinary women that became the mail-order brides to men living in the "wild" west, often with nothing more than a few letters on which to make a life-changing leap of faith!
Jenny's books are clean, wholesome romances that tell the stories of intriguing characters as they use their Christian faith and upbringing to overcome the struggles that the people living in the wild west faced on a daily basis. She loves playing the piano, and her love for music played a big role in her first book, "Music for His Heart".

5.0 out of 5 stars Mail Order Brides Sweet Western Romance: Stories of Loss and Love in the Old West
This was a very eventful story about a young lady who answered an advertisement for a Bride and a Rancher who sent for her. The man had to go on business away from home and a powerful man assaulted her. They made plans to catch him. A must read for those who enjoy historical western romance kindle books from Amazon at a special price and from a delightful author who keeps me wondering what next for the characters as they got to know each other.

Most unusual story but I believe things really happened like this in the wild west
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2017It is written like the west really was. A rough unfair territory before community improvements were set in place .
