    We first met Tanaka in Ella and the Emperor hard, cold lethal and above all loyal. In this book he has left the planet to head the mission to stop the trafficking of humans and other illicit goods throughout the Empire. When he raids a ship he finds both Sara and Tammy. When he sees Sara all his cool control evaporates like mist floating in the air. Sara and Tammy retrace their friend Rita's foot steps before she disappeared. When Sara and Tammy are res used by the Imperial fleet she meets Tanaka and all her naughty thoughts and actions take hold of her. She wants to get this coll clam and collected spy master to let down his guard and let her in! This is a fun adventure And a perfect summer read.     This is the only book of the Rita/Sara/Tammy arc that I enjoyed. Sara is clearly the more brash of her three friends, but I liked her. Some people thought because she wanted to help find out more about the people smuggling humans into the greater galaxy, that she was selfish, but I thought it was fine. Her want for adventure and excitement is part of what brings Tanaca's life some fun. Sara also was 100% with Tammy for finding Rita & she made sure to check in with Tammy regularly; so I stand by my decision on that.

    Also, Tanaca's life story...it's screwed up. So thank goodness Sara comes along to light up his life. I'm sure Ella & Karthajin would have tried, but at least Sara got to him first! I really enjoyed this one.
