    This is a story of friendships between two girls, one a loving, helpful and caring girl, Rachael and the other a jealous, self center girl, only caring for her self, Brenna. Rachael love a boy named Pryce, he returned her love, being engaged to be married. Brenna was married but not a happy one, after two failed marriages she finally accepted that she was the problem. The big event had always been Rachel's Mothers Maquarade Ball, with food, drinks, dancing, costume contest and fireworks. Rachael broke her engagement with Pryce due to her mother's illness. Love is forever. This is a very touching story, you long remember. You really should read.

    This is a memorable story in the spirit of the movie "The Sixth Sense." The main plot is the lead character's efforts to lay to rest the pain of losing her fiancee. She achieves her goal. I don't consider the ending an HEA as readers of romances expect but will say no more to avoid spoilers. I liked the novella and recommend it as a work of general fiction, not a romance.

    In the beginning of the book I was thinking "Oh boy. She's awfully wishy washy!" (Rachel) but then came a few instances where I started to see something was off & it completely peaked my interest. I loved it. The ending was my "AHA! Knew it!" moment and the story fell together perfectly. Now I need to go read the first 3 books!! Excited to find a new author I enjoy!!
