Mutterly Mistaken: Holiday Pet Sleuth Mysteries Kindle Edition
Mutterly Mistaken and a trail of confusion. Can Kibbles show Alex where the missing quilts are before she's out of the competition for good?
Quilts have gone missing at the annual Christmas Quilt Show. Barely having had enough time to complete her own quilt between Pressing Matters and Threading Troubles–Alex Bailey is relying on her usually perceptive pup, Kibbles, to sniff out the culprit. Except, Kibbles’ training is unstitched, and her senses become mutterly mistaken.
Will Kibbles detect the clues or will the missing quilt remain unhung?
Mutterly Mistaken is a charming stand alone book in the Holiday Pet Sleuth Mysteries Series. Read after Pressing Matters and before Threading Trouble, when reading the Quilting Cozy Mystery Series starting with Sewing Suspicion.
If you like Holiday, sweet, clean, wholesome cozy mysteries without murder; then you will love this locked room, animal sidekick, missing item, mystery.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2023I have really been enjoying The Quilting Cozy Mystery Series and this book fits right in as book #3.5. Good mystery with lots of characters to follow. Can’t seem to get enough of Alex and her little chihuahua mutt, Kibbles.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2023I enjoyed this book in the the series. In this book we don’t get any additional clues about Alex’s past or the mystery surrounding her deceased Nona, which were two strong themes in the previous books in the series. This is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. This mystery was lighter than most Cozy’s, meaning no dead body. It was fun to read nonetheless. I’m looking forward to the next one in the series when it gets released in 2023!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2022I needed a diversion from my daily life and I found it in this novella. What I thought would be a simple plot took a few turns I didn't expect and entertained me through 87 pages. I forgot about my own problems and focused on Alex's. The mystery had me guessing to the end and, to my surprise, it didn't end as I expected. That's pretty much what I needed. A fun diversion for 90 minutes with a quickly moving plot, clever dialogue, and a surprise to boot. Get yourself some of this!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2024I can see someone that loves to quilt and mystery loving this easy short read but for me it was a bit boring but overall good book plus it's following a series that I've never read so I was a bit thrown off
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2022"'Twas a few nights before the quilt show, and all was — a mess!" How adorable ❤️ And totally relatable!! I always enjoy Alex's adventures in Mykel's cozy quilt mysteries, and this one might be my favorite so far. I love the theme of the quilt show, the crazy journey we go on to find Nona's missing quilt, and Kibbles's brilliant sleuthing assistance. A quick read with wonderful humor and laugh-out-loud antics, Mutterly Mistaken provides the perfect story to snuggle with on the couch, curled up with your precious pooch, and enjoying a festive holiday tale. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
