Are you looking for some helpful hints and tips?
Do you want to be the best leader you can be?

I will also share my personal leadership story, relating how I grew into being a leader. My sincere desire and hope are that, by the end of this book, you will have a clear understanding of the varying roles of leadership and how you might strengthen your own ability to lead and influence people.

I love how the writer included his own personal experiences in leading people. I doubly love how he included who inspired him to become a leader. So many golden nuggets in this one!

Every great leader needs a solid, strong background which is precisely what the book Essential of Leadership expresses. Many iconic individuals influenced the author’s past and who he still holds as a role model today. A common-sense approach to leading, not by an iron fist but with knowledge and compassion. A good book for anyone looking to move into a leadership position.

Slam dunk. Dynamic read on leadership!

    Overall

A short and heartfelt approach to leadership. I've read a fair number of leadership books in my time and this one takes a personal approach. I appreciated the examples that came from the authors own life. The concepts are sound and informative. That being said, there was nothing new or innovative in the book about leadership. That being said if you are looking for a starting book as you start your leadership journey - this is a good choice. Not to mention its overall uplifting approach to leadership was appreciated.

A solid start for budding leaders that acts as a good introduction.

Essentials of Leadership is a short informative guide that explains what it takes to be a leader and how leaders can influence individuals. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to being a leader. Leaders can vary according to the situation and their personality type. Essentials of Leadership covers the ten common leadership styles, which I found helpful.

The book covers the importance of tactful language, how leaders get things done, and the value of leadership education. I appreciated the discussion about whether you have to be born a leader or if a person can learn leadership traits.

Essentials of Leadership is a helpful book for understanding what a good leader is, the traits needed, and how you can become a good leader. I recommend this short, well-written book for all, especially young people, early in their careers. ~ Catherine Taughinbaugh, author of The Compassion Antidote

So you want to be a leader? But what does it take to be one?

The author takes you on a basic course of Leadership 101 with a simple narrative that’s easy to relate and quite engaging.

“True leadership is inspiring people with action.”

This explains the 10 most common leadership styles and what you can do to be a great leader. The author gives brief explanations and sites some good examples of real-world leaders like Gen. MacArthur and MLK. The author also relays his own personal experience in leadership.

This is truly the bare essentials of leadership. A quick and easy guide.

A quick and concise guide to leadership. The author bolsters the thesis with personal examples and famous quotes.
It trims away the usual drivel and BS and slims the guide down to something quite functional.
    I reccomend it.

Useful and motivating look at what leadership is all about.
You know it means something when the writer has a section about how much the topic means to themselves and their family.
The most interesting aspect of this book were the quotations around the topic from well-known individuals.
Just felt it was a bit of a short guide.
