The smell of my success thick in the air as another human manages to break their contract. It clearly states for eternity. Considering it was his daughter’s life he waged, I guess he wasn’t overly concerned. Bound by blood, her soul is now mine. The sweet scent that’s seeping from her pores fills my lungs. It’s the fear she is pretending not to show. Usually, I’m not attracted to any human entity, but I am inexplicably drawn to her. She thinks I don’t know her soul is tainted like mine. I’m going to break it open and take a peek at the hidden evil buried deep inside, but not before she pays for her father’s debt. She’s filled with too much pride to fulfill an obligation to a demon. I’ll strip that away as well. Either she meets my sinful demands or spends eternity wishing she did.

I really loved this fast paced novella. The FMC is bad ass and takes no crap from anyone, until she meets Zell, the MMC. These two and their chemistry!! I love them as a duo and hope for more of their antics in the future. I can’t wait to see how they work together and collect future souls.

    This was such a fun read with a unique storyline that was unexpected but thoroughly enjoyed. I was dubious that this was another Angel vs. Demon or good vs. evil story, but this author wrote a fresh take on finding love in the most unforseen circumstances.

    Finished this earlier today, I hate to write something bad but I believe brutal honestv can be helpful at times.
    The book has so much potential but the main characters, are so so sooo bland and lacking, the side characters are more interesting and have better personalities than the main characters.
    It felt extremely rushed the whole book, once you get to the ending the rest of it is better than the whole book...
    I had hopes, it sounded good but I was severely disappointed.
    (The spice is a solid 4 out of 10.)
