I loved the continuation of the Wyoming Sunrise series as we meet dear Hannah who prays for God to grant her a miracle to escape her abusive father. I must admit I shed tears as I read of her plight but when God shows up in a mighty way you will be ecstatic. I loved the characters, the tender romance, the Faith , and even the difficulties as it made for an intriguing and believable story that left you wanting more. It is interesting to visit Wyoming in 1894and be immersed in the time period. I could visualize the town of Poplar Springs and how difficult life was at that time. Hannah is a strong young woman to endure and survive and I admire how she persevered and kept God at the center of her life. This series has introduced me to Ms Zeller and I now want to devour everything she has written. I received a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit. The honest review and expressed opinions are my own and were not required.

    I have enjoyed this series and rated the books I’ve read so far, both one and two at a 5.0, and honestly this book easily soared to 5.0 also! The opening verse, found in the preface is Micah 6:8 “And what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” The tagline states “sometimes the hardest battles take place in the heart” and for many of the characters in this book, deputy sheriff John Mark Eliason, Hannah Bane, the Grandfather of Ambrose, Ambrose, and even Wally Pritchard, they each had to grapple with “what doth the Lord require.”

    The cover of this book encapsulates guilelessness, loveliness, and peacefulness, but don’t let it fool you or I could say, do not underestimate this book as it is both beautiful, powerful, and gripping. The story surprised me in a delicious way. I enjoyed reading the surprises. I cried at a number of sad parts. I cheered for the good guys. If you are attracted to true courage as I am, this book will appeal to you. Many of the characters showed courage, but especially the hero and heroine. The character that was the most intriguing was Wally Pritchard.

    I definitely recommend this series and if you have not read book 2, “Dreams of the Heart” you should get it and start reading it today.

    Hannah Bane lives a very rough life, and most people don’t or can’t do anything about it. She never expects to get out of the life she was living. When her father brings him her to town so he can have a safe ride home when he gets drunk. He could care less how the other women would laugh at her about her clothes, and men would try to do the same.

    Another day at the ranch and unbeknownst to a lot of people, namely Hannah, there is a new Sherrif in town and he already has his eye on Hannah. Could this be Hannah’s way out of her horrible life? Find this out and so much more in thils sweet book from author Penny Zeller. If you enjoy sweet romance with a touch of real life, I think you will love this book. Penny Zeller is the best, hands down!!

    I greatly enjoyed this book in the Wyoming Sunrise series. I had read Forgotten Memories where we first meet John Mark as a mischievious child. I loved getting to read this story of him when he was grown up and working as a deputy in lawless town. He has a heart that wants to help those in need which is how he finds himself drawn to Hannah, the young lady who he frequently sees being forced to wait outside the saloon for her drunken, abusive father. Poor Hannah feels completely unloved and unloveable, constantly being down trodden by her father. Hannah and John Mark find themselves married in a marriage of convenience and wondering if they will ever come to love one another.
    I grew to love John Mark and Hannah and their relationship. There were lots of serious, heart-wrenching events in this book, but the author added lots of humorous scenes as well. I also love that we got an update on Caleb and Annie, and got to see the characters from the first book and the prequel. I'm loving this series and can't wait to read Charlotte's story in When Love Comes.

    Good story. There is some unsettling behavior throughout, from Hannah's father, and a few other rapscallions. However, Hannah has a strong faith (HOPE) for a better life that pulls her onward. Meet Sheriff Eliason, a young, kind the artery yet tough, new Sheriff in town who is trying to clean up the "dirt.". On his rounds he notices Hannah's daily presence outside of the local saloon. She is her dad's, " designated driver.". Something about her draws the Sheriff to watch out for her.
    Little Ambrose adds cuteness and humor to the story, along with his pet pig.
    The characters easily intertwine and the dialogue flows, throughout this story. Moreover, the reader gets a sense of physical attraction without the lurid detail that some authors (whom I avoid) insist upon. Ah!! The character, Pritchard!! I almost forgot to include him. Great guy.
