Nigel's main love has always been writing, this together with a fascination for genealogical research, Welsh folklore and the history of Wales has resulted in the writing of his first two books - Gerald's War and Excalibur Reborn.

Gerald's War:

Nigel Davies-Williams discovered a family tale which deserved more research, and so the seeds of Gerald's War were sown in his head. The story sent Nigel off into years of research, where he discovered some of the most starling facts imaginable and a disturbing tale of a family at war in the 1920s.

As an ex-detective, he longed to find out what happened to this uncle, when he went missing over Greece back in 1941, when attached to 211 Squadron RAF, flying a Bristol Blenheim. The culmination of his research is this sensitively written and emotional story based around the life and times of Gerald Davies.

The book includes links to the life of Roald Dahl and other famous people who fought in the Second World War.

The glory pilots of the Second World War are those who flew Spitfires and Hurricanes. The Blenheim Bomber and its crews are the unsung heroes of the war. The Blenheim was the first British aircraft to cross the German coast at the outbreak of war on 3 September 1939 and a Blenheim sank the first U-Boat of the war on 11 March 1940. This is the story of some of the men of 211 Squadron of the RAF who flew the out-of-date Bristol Blenheim bombers and who died way before their time, so we can all live the lives we do now.

The target audience for this book is anyone who loves an heroic war story linked to a family saga surrounding the Second World War.

From the author...

"My considerable research has ensured that events described in the book are historically accurate.

The characters in this novel existed, of that there is no doubt, but some of the circumstances and conversations between the characters, as described in this work, are dramatised and may or may not have taken place at the time, we will never know for sure. What we do know is that the brave men who lost their lives during the conflict should never be forgotten and tribute should be paid for the sacrifices they made for us all.

This is one man’s story, Gerald’s War. My uncle who never came home and a family never gave up hope.

This book is in recognition of all of those heroes of war - combatants and families alike."

Excalibur Reborn:

Nigel explores, through this fantasy novel, the now mostly forgotten history of dark ages Wales. A history highjacked in the writings of the victors and conquerors of Wales over 1400 years.

Cadwaladr - King Arthur is etched into the very landscape of Wales, and many place names bear this out. One example is ‘Caerfyrddin,’ Carmarthen - The Fort of Myrddin - or Merlin. Welsh culture is a rich heritage of unwritten history with stories passed down from one generation to the next from ancient times. Nigel Davies-Williams brings you a spellbinding tale of this magical world, which the characters of Excalibur Reborn bring vividly to life.

Esmeralda's Talisman - Resurrection of Sorcery:

‘An Epic Fantasy Adventure of Souls, Lost Souls, Bloodlines and Mythical Creatures.’

Esmeralda is the progeny of a very special bloodline; a bloodline of Witches, Wizards and Wu-Shi. Even her birth is steeped in mystery, when her mother finds out the mysterious Chinese doctor and French midwife present at her birth don’t even exist. Months later a mysterious package arrives from China containing the ‘Dragon Talisman’ with a note explaining how unique a person Esmeralda is going to be.

Living on an isolated farm in Nouvelle Aquitaine, France, Esmeralda is eleven when she is given the contents of the package, which until then her mother has hidden from her.  Her life alters unimaginably, and she is thrown, full on, into a life as a Chinese witch – a Wu-Shi.

Trouble looms when the evil and malicious White Bones Queen seeks Esmeralda out, to complete the Sorcerers Supernatural Trinity; something which will make her immortal.

Esmeralda establishes she is from a long line of evil herself. Can she take on the fight within and conquer her demons and her enemies at the same time.

The book whisks you off to China, then back to the heart of France and into the Catacombs of Paris, eventually leading on a trail to the holiest of shrines in North Wales.

Treachery and traitorous events are ready to take you at every turn.

Esmeralda’s Talisman is the long-awaited prequel to Excalibur Reborn and is part of the Souls of Excalibur Series exploring our hidden inner souls and consciousnesses which affects all our lives, exploring the life we have, the life we may have had and a life yet to come.

Which life are you in?
