About the author

ML Hamilton has been teaching high school English and journalism in Central California for the last 32 years. Teaching students to appreciate literature has made her career rewarding; however, she always dreamed of publishing her own novel.
That dream came true. Her first novel, Emerald, was published by Wild Wolf Publishing in 2010. In the summer of 2011, she published her first contemporary fiction, Ravensong, and six months later, launched the Peyton Brooks' series. The Avery Nolan Adventures and Peyton Brooks, FBI launched in 2014. In 2016, she ventured into the cozy mystery craze with her cozy mystery series, Zion Sawyer Cozy Mysteries.
Between teaching and writing, she spends her free time walking her canine children, Bailey and Jessami, and visiting her grandbabies. She is the president of Northern California Publishers and Authors.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2017I love this series. Peyton, Marco and Abe are just such wonderful characters. Whenever Abe is involved, I know that I will be laughing uncontrollably. I am always waiting for the next book to be published, and they can't seem to come fast enough for me. I thought this was a very good short story. It kept my interest and me guessing who the bad guy was throughout the whole book.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2024Interesting mystery about a woman realtor who is killed in the garage of the house she is showing. It is a difficult case as there are no motives, no suspects and no evidence. Well written with likeable characters.

Intriguing storyline of the murder of a female realtor. The steps taken to solve the crime were interesting. What I did not care for was the lack of professionalism within the police department and the failure to maintain control of the investigation. Very flexible procedures, actions and reactions. The characters and dialogue are okay, nothing memorable.
No desire to re-read this story. Remember this is my personal opinion and does not reflect on the author.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2020ML Hamilton continues her good works. She goes back and adds some more Peyton and Marco from the early days. No one who loves murder mysteries and delightful reading would not enjoy the antics of Peyton and the seriousness of a gorgeous Marco as they solve their cases by hook or by crook. Some parts serious, evolving in to the very serious side of life while bringing in the joyous, the two manage to survive all their ups and downs.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2024Peyton Brooks tried very hard to convince her co-workers that she was right about the person who was trying to kill female realtors during showings. There are many well-defined twists and turms. I WAS DEEPLY ABSORDED IN THE BOOK.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2017This was the first book I have read by this author. It was fast and easy to follow. Characters were well-developed and believable. It was hard to put down. I recommend you read this book.
