About the Author

Jeff Shaw was a police officer in South Florida for twenty-four years. Not long after retiring, he began writing a memoir of his career in law enforcement. The memoir is a collection of some of the most memorable cases he worked and how they affected him at the time, and how they still affect him today. That memoir, Who I Am: The Man Behind the Badge was published in 2020. On March of 2022, he published his first crime novel, Lieutenant Trufant, the first in a series titled, The Bloodline.LeAnn and the Clean Man is the second in that series.When not writing, he spends his time reading, playing golf in the mountains of north Georgia, or just relaxing with his wife Susan.

Jeff Shaw is an award-winning, best-selling author of The Bloodline series: Lieutenant Trufant, LeAnn and the Clean Man, and Broken. Jeff served twenty-four years in law enforcement and after retiring, wrote his memoir, Who I Am: The Man Behind the Badge. He has written several short stories and continues to write today. When not writing he spends his time relaxing with his wife Susan on the porch of their North Georgia home.

This book grabs you from page one! I shouldn’t have liked Leanne, but the author presents one a more evil villain to despise! His descriptions of a scene, a character and emotion are so vivid that you almost have a visual of the action as you read. You get satisfaction at the end, yet I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

    This book is sure to leave you spellbound. As you reach the conclusion, you will have fallen deeply in love with the complex and dynamic female protagonist. LeAnn, is a multifaceted character with flaws she acknowledges, and yet she is also discovering new aspects of herself. Her remarkable resilience, despite being flawed but unbroken, is inspiring. Fans of Connelly, Slaughter, Coben, and Baldacci will not be disappointed with this read.

    I'll be the first to admit, I shy away from sex crime type novels. Having said that, this topic is one that needs more traction to stop this activity worldwide.
    Shaw creatively ties the main character to his first novel in the series, Luetinent Trufant. Reading the first novel is not needed for this read, but definitely a captivating page turner.
    Leann is a well rounded powerhouse. The novel's message is that even strong women can be susceptible to crime - but watch out - she will get her revenge.
    I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

    Jeff's novels are getting better and better. LeAnn's character makes this book a page turner. I told my husband he HAS to read the Bloodline series. They would make a great movie. I know this book just came out, but I can't wait for Jeff's next one.
