        Shane Svorec is a lifelong writer and author who currently resides in New Jersey, along with her husband, three children, rescue dogs, and chickens.

          Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down! I finished reading it in just a couple days! If you're looking for a book that will inspire you to persevere no matter what life throws at you, this is the one. "Broken Little Believer" will teach you valuable life lessons. There is bound to be something within this book that you will connect to or relate to personally and it will make you feel less alone. Throughout the book, you will feel like you are traveling with the author on her journey because of the way she writes and uses descriptive imagery. You will feel a variety of emotions. The author includes a playlist of songs that correlate with chapters of the book as well as checkpoints and questions to ask yourself throughout and reflect upon. All who are lucky enough to know Shane personally, including me, are very lucky indeed. Shane is such a strong, positive example who possesses much wisdom. From reading the book, you will learn of the many unexpected challenges she faced and how she never let anything stop her or get her down. Shane is vulnerable in sharing her story and ultimately shows that no matter how negatively some acted towards her, she never stooped down to their level- she is always treating everyone she meets with compassion, empathy, and understanding. A true role model.

          After hearing Shane speak at my church, I had to order her book. I’m usually a slow reader, but I finished this book in three days. Shane has been through so much in life. However, she hasn’t let life break her. She is a beautiful soul inside and out. She has given me a new perspective and a deeper hope for the future. This is definitely a book that I will share with others, and I would recommend that you read.

          What a beautifully written book, though I have to admit at points it was hard to read. Shane takes those moments with you and keeps you at ease the entire time. I couldn't put the book down, her journey was definitely extraordinary and at times I cried but mostly just rooted for her survival. And survive she did! She is clearly an amazing inspiration to us all. Our paths are our own, and how we choose for them to unfold is up to us in the end.           I think this defines Shane and I can't think of anyone who wouldn't benefit from reading this book.
