Cyborg Rider (Cyborgs on Mars) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,069 ratings

Can a lonely cyborg protect a determined scientist from the dangers of Mars?

Dr. Sadie Tucker has spent her entire life in the pursuit of knowledge. That quest takes her to the wild Martian frontier, where her latest bioengineering project could revolutionize homesteading on the planet. She can’t afford any distractions - even though the big, silent cyborg ranger guarding her reminds her that she is a woman as well as a scientist.

When the military sent Z-384 to Mars, he put his troubled past - and his humanity - behind him. He knows that only cold, isolation, and work lie ahead. But the intriguing little scientist he’s assigned to protect suddenly has him longing for a different kind of future.

When Sadie and Zeb are trapped in a mysterious underground chamber, any kind of future seems impossible. With some unexpected help from Sadie’s prototype, can the two find a way to escape? And if they do, can they find happiness together?

Each book in the Cyborg on Mars series can be enjoyed as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy science fiction romance is intended for mature readers. A version of this story was previously published in the Pets in Space 7 anthology.

USA Today bestselling author Honey Phillips writes steamy science fiction romance about hot alien warriors and the Earth women they can’t resist. From abductions to invasions, the ride might be rough, but the end always satisfies.

Honey wrote and illustrated her first book at the tender age of five. Her writing has improved since then. Her drawing skills, unfortunately, have not. She loves writing, reading, traveling, cooking, and drinking champagne - not necessarily in that order.

I do so love the Cyborgs on Mars series! This one may be short, but it has all the elements needed for a fine story. It doesn’t take Sadie very long to pull Zeb from his typically angry mode to one of loving male. They’re a great match! What could possibly be better that having such a strong, loving fellow in a dire situation? As always, those cyborg horses prove their value. Oh, I adore ‘Eggie,’ Sadie’s little pet. Such a cute, loving companion. Wait ‘til you meet her! A fine read - short and sweet!

As a huge fan of Honey Phillip's "Cyborg on Mars" series, I was thrilled when this story came out. I absolutely LOVED Eglantine! What a wonderful character to add to the story alongside Soldier, the Cyborg horse. However, I didn't feel the story was as well developed as some of the others, and seemed much shorter. I would still recommend reading this book as well as the others in the series. I HATE Westerns, but I LOVE ❤️ CYBORGS ON MARS!

What a fantastic , easy read . A!ways a pleasure to come back to these Mars Cyborgs !!!
IN this story we meet Zeb A cyborg ranger who gets a new assignment as a bodyguard for Sadie and her mole companion Eggie .
Sadie is involved in helping the farms of Mars make it a success by her modified moles sifting through the dirt as the would have done in earth. Sadie is super excited for the opportunity ! But she isn't so sure about her , " bodyguard ". Not like its necessary !!
But Zeb has gotten his orders, and that was that .
As Sadie and Zeb journey across the bare Martian landscape and get to know each other better , this story evolves just as their feelings for each other !!
We get to see a few people from former books and a little mystery as well !!! Can't wait to read more !!!

I really love your Cyborg stories. I really enjoy reading about the Cyborg Rangers that have been hurt emotionally, as well as the physical near death that caused them to be enhanced with cybertronics. Zev wants to go by his designated number, and not his name. Sadie decided that she will show him that she may be small, but she's mighty. She also decides Zev is a big strong man with a lot to offer, and she wants what he's not comfortable giving. She also knows he may be fighting it, but he wants her just as bad.I loved how he finally acts like a real man, after she basically puts herself on a platter. I look forward to more explanation about their shared dream , and what is in the cave. Great read.

I’m loving the aspect that the couple may have actually seen something in the cave they were trapped in. And Sadie’s worry that she made Eggie and the others all female made me think of Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park stating that “nature would always find a way.”

This is a favorite sci-fi series without being to far out there as Earth’s over population has sent humans to Mars to terraform with the aid of cyborg lawmen.

I always look forward to a new installment as the lonely cyborgs find their HEA. Thank you Honey Phillips for another fun and exciting read.

    I enjoyed reading this book📖
Eggie is a cute addition to the cyborg-gets-a-girl formula and maybe boy moles are in the future. Along with children who like dragons 😀😁
I've enjoyed this series and look forward to more books about cyborgs on Mars. Is Earth still making cyborgs??? Do female cyborgs exist in this universe? Will they get to Mars and find a man (or cyborg) to love them?? Maybe there's a one and only, because the male dominated decision makers and makers of cyborgs don't see a use for female cyborgs. After all the only use of two genders is reproduction and you can always get more cyborgs from the military. You don't need them to reproduce after they become cyborgs, right?

I wasn't sure if I would like this series because of the title and artwork. I was wrong. These books are well-rounded in world-building, dialog, and character-building. I love all the previous books except, this one.
This story was so rushed the reader was barely introduced to the MC Jeb and FC before we reached the end of the book. A couple of pages in, FC is seducing MC, he holds out two minutes and it's a slam bam thank you, ma'am. One day together and they are getting married.
Such a complete letdown. I still have no idea who the protagonists really are. What kind of people they were? What makes them tick? What was life like on earth for them? Or how old were they? What they really looked like other than one is big the other short. Little things found in the other novels that brought the characters to life and got us to know them on a deeper level. I could describe the characters from the other books to a sketch artist that's how well the writer brought the story alive for the readers.
What happened? Is the writer bored with the series and just threw something out hoping to appease her readers? I have seen it happen in a few other series. Note; if an author is tired of, and bored with, a series just stop with the last successful book instead of giving us such a disappointing letdown of a story.

After waiting for another cyborg of Mars tale I was excited to read this.
Scientist arrives on Mars, grumpy cyborg for protection, then the trauma that brings them both together.
I really enjoyed the story and found Zeb and Sadie fun characters however I was disappointed that it was so short. It all seemed just a little rushed and I would have liked more depth to the overall tale. Faster pairing yet on Mars!
That being said, if you are a fan of Honey and her Mars cyborgs then it is of course a must read.
Keep them coming Honey, but a little longer if you can 5🌟 anyway.
