“Like water in the story, the words have a lyrical flow and are pleasant to the ear. The A-B rhyming pattern, deliberately chosen, enhances the fun factor for young readers.

Review

Adele Lamothe makes science fun in Two Little Raindrops, a rhyming, picture book for children ages 3 through 8. I think even older children will enjoy this book. The science of the water cycle is first told in easy-to-understand words and then shown in an understandable diagram. Children will enjoy reading and learning about how nature keeps the earth watered and the important role that they play in protecting the environment. Adele hopes this book will bring a new outlook on weather to your children. This book is an excellent introduction to one of the most vital cycles in nature. Use this book to launch a discussion with your children about the various types of precipitation and how rain helps keep plants alive. As a former science teacher, I highly recommend this book for all children.

With engaging illustrations and personification, Adele Lamothe brings the water cycle to vivid life for young learners.

As an educator, I found Two Little Raindrops an engaging way to pique young readers' interest in science. The rhymes make the information memorable without being distracting, and the shape of the words often follow the direction of the water droplets' journey, adding another layer of visual engagement.

I recommend this book to parents and teachers of children three to seven.

My only hope is that the author has or will also create a cute little book on electrons, since Lamothe is so gifted in making the complex and abstract more understandable for little learners.

    Definitely purchase this book!

Two Little Raindrops is a beautifully written book, which perfectly rhymes on each page of the story as it whisks you along the exciting adventure of the two main characters Splish and Splash. This wonderful STEM book explains nature’s water cycle in the most delightful way, and certainly kept my child interested and entertained throughout their story.

The lovely, visually appealing illustrations represent the little characters in detail, and it is clear that the author and illustrator have put in a great deal of effort into ensuring that the writing and pictures are synchronized in a fun, loving manner.

Once the story is concluded, the book even adds an informative summary of natures amazing water cycle, including its terminology which will educate kids (and even remind the adult readers).

Two Little Raindrops was highly enjoyable from beginning to end, and definitely deserves a spot on every child’s bookshelf, device, and even their school’s library!
