    Celine used to love Christmas, but the grinning angel on top had reminded her of Remy, her ex, last December when she caught her then-fiance cheating with one of her friends. Celine takes her drunken anger out on the tall snow-covered Christmas tree in the town square of Callander, a Scottish village. She falls and makes a snow angel in the snow. A stranger, Angus, helps a wobbly Celine up.     I can not get enough of this author. Well developed characters. Celine goes to Scotland to be in her best friend's wedding and to stay in her house while the happy couple is on their honeymoon. Celine was still recovering from a devastating breakup with her fiance and was definitely not looking for romance. One look at the best man, Angus, and it was all over.     Celine’s Highland Christmas is a classic Christmas romance. By that I mean: Think “Hallmark Movie.” If you know what a “cozy mystery” is like, then you will understand why I call it a “Cozy Romance.” It is pretty clean. There are a few swear words and some implied sex.
    Set in Scottland during the Christmas season, it is the story of a fast-blossoming romance between a French girl and a burly Scottish highlander. It flows smoothly with very little conflict. Only when the ex fiancé shows up unannounced is there any tension and that is brief. There are no real surprises and it is quite predictable. The two main characters are fairly well developed. The Scottish dialect is sometimes difficult to read.
    Fans of cozy romance will enjoy this story and root for Celine and Angus as their relationship develops. It’s a quick easy read. Save it for a snowy night with some hot chocolate.

    A thoroughly enjoyable, well-written book with beautiful descriptions of the snowy Scottish landscape, which actually made me feel cold.
    I was sorry when the book ended. I hope there is a follow up book.
