Have you ever wanted something so much you were afraid to even try? That was Jude ten years ago.
For as long as she can remember, she's wanted to be a novelist. She even started dozens of stories, over the years.
But life kept getting in the way. A seriously ill child who required years of therapy; a rising mortgage that led to a full-time job; six children, her own chronic illness… the writing took a back seat.
As the years passed, the fear grew. If she didn't put her stories out there in the market, she wouldn't risk making a fool of herself. She could keep the dream alive if she never put it to the test.
Then her mother died. That great lady had waited her whole life to read a novel of Jude's, and now it would never happen.
So Jude faced her fear and changed it--told everyone she knew she was writing a novel. Now she'd make a fool of herself for certain if she didn't finish.
Her first book came out to excellent reviews in December 2014, and the rest is history. Many books, lots of positive reviews, and a few awards later, she feels foolish for not starting earlier.
Jude write historical fiction with a large helping of romance, a splash of Regency, and a twist of suspense. She then tries to figure out how to slot the story into a genre category. She’s mad keen on history, enjoys what happens to people in the crucible of a passionate relationship, and loves to use a good mystery and some real danger as mechanisms to torture her characters.
Dip your toe into her world with one of her lunch-time reads collections or a novella, or dive into a novel. And let her know what you think.
USA Today Bestselling Author Aileen Fish is an avid quilter and auto racing fan who finds there aren't enough hours in a day/week/lifetime to stay up with her "to-do" list. Her books include The Bridgethorpe Brides series and the Small Town Sweethearts series.

Susana Ellis is a retired teacher, part-time caregiver, sewist, cook, and fashion print collector. Lifelong reading and a fascination with history led her to writing historical romances. She is one of the original Bluestocking Belles and a member of Regency Fiction Writers and the Maumee Valley Romance Authors Inc.
Award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Alina K. Field earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and German literature, but prefers the much happier world of romance fiction. Though her roots are in the Midwestern U.S., after six very, very, very cold years in Chicago, she moved to Southern California and hasn’t looked back. She shares a midcentury home with her two rescued dogs, a spunky, blonde terrier and a super-friendly chihuahua.
The author of several Regency romances, including the 2014 Book Buyer’s Best winner, Rosalyn’s Ring, she is hard at work on her next story, but loves to hear from readers!
Traveler, poet, librarian, technology manager—award-winning and Amazon best-selling author Caroline Warfield has been many things (even a nun), but above all, she is a romantic. Having retired to the urban wilds of eastern Pennsylvania, she reckons she is on at least her third act, writing family-centered historical romance set mainly in the Regency and Victorian eras.
Caroline believes firmly that love is worth the risk; she sits in an office surrounded by windows and nudges readers to explore the riskiest territory of all, the human heart.
In addition to her weekly blog, But First Coffee, she hosts guests on her Highlighting Historical Romance series, and contributes to The Teatime Tattler, a blog in the shape of a fictional nineteenth-century gossip rag.

All I Want for Christmas is You by Susana Ellis
When Evan Campbell rescues Lady Alicia and brings her to Lord Stanton’s home, the young vicar and Alicia got a rather big surprise. Lady Alicia and Lord Stanton have been betrothed since childhood but have been in no hurry to wed. Now Stanton has fallen in love with Ellen Campbell, Evan’s sister. The betrothal is broken amicably, and along the way, Alicia, the duke’s daughter, and Evan, a vicar with a scandalous past, fall in love. Impossible, right? Maybe not. 5.0 out of 5 stars The Christmastide Kisses collection by the Bluestocking Belles authors were great
The six stories by the Bluestocking Belles authors: Alina K Field - Caroline Warfield - Jude Knight - Susana Ellis - Ruth A Casie and Aileen Fish were well written. The HEA's for all six was the culmination of heart-warming stories for the holiday season.
I hope they collaborate on other holiday stories and continue to brighten up my reading enjoyment.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2024There were a couple of stories and authors that I enjoyed. Ruth Casie’s story was a beautiful love story and enjoyed it very much. The first story by Caroline Warfield was very good as well. Honestly, the rest I skimmed through and two of them I could not even get through the first chapter. I was hoping to like it more.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2023It's always a joy to read a Bluestocking Belle collection and this one is no exception. These talented ladies' stories range from the weary uncle, guardian to a couple of hellions, to the vicar with a past and everything in between. These six gentlemen discover unexpected magic of Christmas.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2024I enjoyed this delightful set of holiday stories. There is mystery, secrets, surprises, second chances, and a little Christmas magic. As with any anthology of different authors, I liked some stories better than others, but all are 4/5 stars for me. The anthology includes some of my favorite authors (C. Warfield and J. Knight) along with some who are new to me that I would like to read more of. The set is very clean, with only some kissing, so safe for all ages. If you enjoy historical romance, especially with a holiday theme, I think you will enjoy this collection.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2023I thoroughly enjoyed this charming selection of holiday stories. Each one has enchanting characters and an intriguing storyline. It's a gem!
I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this wonderful book and can highly recommend it to anyone who loves holiday romances.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2023All of these accomplished authors are on my must read list, but when they decide on a theme for a series of novellas I know I'm in for a rare treat.
Each story is as carefully written as their novels. However they are like tiny bites of the richest desert you can name. I try to savor only one a day because I hate to leave the settings and the characters without giving them their fond farewell.
I recommend that you never ever pass on a Bells anthology.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining read.
4.5 stars overall.
A Countess by Christmas by Jude knight 5*
This was an engaging read. Louisa Penworth is now 18 years old and her parents have kept secrets from her but say they will explain all eventually. It must have been very frustrating for Louisa to be told something about herself that others were aware of. Ben Fairleigh, Earl of Baxter had been happy as a solicitor when he unexpectedly inherited the title. Ben is a hard working man who had no aspirations to hold a title but is now doing what he can to learn about running his estates. When Ben and Louisa meet, they do feel a connection, however there are the secrets to be told that could make a difference. Ben also has something to reveal. I enjoyed this story very much.
I have read most of the stories in this anthology, they are a mix of 4/5 stars, but all made for an enjoyable read. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own. However, I did preorder my own copy.
