After review of the file and meeting with detectives in charge of the case, Jake is convinced there is more to learn and looks at the husband. Although Rick Jameson has an airtight alibi, Jake believes he is hiding something. When members of the FBI's Art Theft Team join the investigation, additional bodies begin to fall, and additional suspects emerge. As Jake works with the detectives and FBI agents, unexpected events ramp up the need to know who the mastermind behind the crime was--and who may be in the line of fire?

The Price of Murder marks the ninth book by award-winning author, Judith Erwin. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Judith has spent the vast majority of her life in Northeast Florida where she practiced law for over twenty-two years before retiring. She is an avid lover of the arts, animals, books, and most of all—her family. Her books have won a Gold Medal in the Florida Authors and Publisher's Annual Competition, been a finalist in the Royal Palm Literary Awards, and a finalist in the International Reader's Favorite Annual Competition. Prior to attending law school, Judith was a freelance writer and is now a contributing writer to Mystery and Suspense Magazine. With three books published in the Shepherd & Associates Series, she is at work on Book 4, A Raging Fire, a sample of which can be found in the back of The Price of Murder book.
