- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2024This is a wonderful true story and an amazing example of how God puts people together and brings along their families with them. A love story of God's Amazing Grace with a little surprise at the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2023I received this book as a Christmas gift and couldn't wait to read it. I've talked with Russell and Susie on many occasions over the years and knew their relationship was special.
This a beautiful love story with many layers. Russell and Susie may not have seemed a perfect match by human standards, but God in His wisdom had plans for their marriage. God was central to their marriage and ministry. If you've ever wondered whether there is one right person out there for you, this should answer that question. The right one is worth waiting for.
Thank you, Susie, for sharing your story.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2024A multilayered love story that tugs at the heartstrings. I enjoyed this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2023You might laugh at Susie's rebellion or cry with the consequences she finds herself in. The Rebel and Preacher Man give a truthful view of ministry and falling in love, although years apart in age, experience, and upbringing. You'll be amazed at Russell and Susie's journey and how God brought them together. Coincidence? Never. It was all God - all the way. This book is inspirational and motivational. It gives hope and encouragement. If God can work in this couple's life, He can do it for anyone. Adams brings poignant truths to everyday problems in an exceptional, well-written story-telling way.
