Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis as well as part of the year in Bradenton, Florida, USA. They actually approached their situation with the best intentions and worked at keeping open communication with each other. There is emotional connection.     I love this author. Read all her books. I had to keep looking at my Kindle to see who the author was because this writing was not the same woman I've been reading for years.

    The dialogue seemed juvenile. Staccato? And the obsession with cutting the wedding dress? WTH was that all about? It was mentioned several times. I felt like the characters were kind of made stereotypical? I don't know. It was a bit predictable, the ending was great and then the end. I needed more in the end but didn't feel like I got it.

    Will I read her again? Of course! This book just left an odd aftertaste.

    Love her other books. They're amazing.

    Cat is a cartel princess. She knows what her family is and does.

    Loved how they tried to find the good and make the best of their situation and circumstances.
    Cat’s loyalty was amazing. She’s a cartel darling. Now a wife to the upcoming capo.
    But also a strong woman. A kind and big hearted woman. A woman with great morals and integrity.
    Dario doesn’t know how to love. But I loved how he vowed to protect Cat always and forever.
    I appreciated that he wasn’t the typical mafia boss. He walks the line of his title in the mafia.
    But also his own personal ways and beliefs in his work life and his personal life.
    He was a refreshing type of mafia man.
    As these two try and navigate their new life together.
    They are not only facing their own personal challenges. But outside forces as well.
    I’m looking forward and excited to read the next book in the series.

    Just finished this book up last night. Loved it. I love Catalina. She is such a sweet and caring person even though she grew up in a Cartel family surrounded by evil deeds. She has so much love to give and even gives to people that probably don't deserve it. She has a lot more acceptance than I do in given situations. Does Dario deserve her? Yes, probably as he has a loving softer side as well and shows it to her in every way. I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to others in the series ... even though I plan on skipping the next and going straight to the third.
