4.7 out of 5 stars 255 ratings

Have you ever met a man who sets your soul on fire… and you also happen to hate him too? Yes, no, maybe? Well for me, that man is Zaire Booker. I can't stand his guts, and yet I crave feeling his large hands roam all over my body nearly every moment of every day.

Professionalism and passion intertwine as Zaire Booker and Nala Jackson offer therapy to the patients who depend on them at Higher Pathways Counseling Center. Zaire, accustomed to taking the unconventional route, finds himself intrigued by Nala's adherence to traditional methods. Meanwhile, Nala, who loves following the book, struggles to find a diagnosis in the DSM V for what burns inside her for Zaire.

In the battle between professionalism and passion, Zaire and Nala are discovering a whole new world of ecstasy. As they explore the depths of their desires, they realize that love is the wildest therapy of all.

Four20 Bae... When couples burn together from one end to the other. Make sure you check out all the stories in this multi-author series.

Smoke N' Stroke is Aja's latest workplace romance. Others include: For Once, Eight Naughty Notes, & Mr. Big Stuff. Visit ajathwwriter.com for more information about the author and her work.

“Baby, know love. Know how it looks and feels so that when it comes to you later in this lifetime, you’ll accept it as the gift God has given you to replace the love you feel like you are losing, right now.” Words of wisdom from Mother to Son and words that stayed with Zaire throughout his adult years! Even though he and Nala worked together, their differences ignited all sorts of emotions and feelings!!In the end, they found what each of them needed!

This is the second book in this series and what a series it is!! I am enjoying it and hope you are, as well!! Well Done and Kudos, Aja!! 💜💜💜

This book was aback in the day read for me. I'm of the 60's & 70's era. The marijuana was clean, though illegal, but we had fun and looked out for one another. The book was very refreshing and reminded me of how I felt about the product. The medicinal aspect of this product was debated way back then, but due to my profession in law enforcement I could not take the chance to indulge. That was me looking out. I'm truly amazed of all the legal products being produced. I'm also happy that product gives relief to so me people who are suffering from any medical conditions. Thank you for the memories.

I really enjoyed this story Nala was so funny trying to pretend she really couldn’t stand Zaire. 😂after their first encounter in the supply closet I just knew she would fess up ..😂. But Zaire didn’t let that deter him.

Cute story I love how the plot flowed and I was glad to know that I made the correct assumption about who the clinics mysterious Benefactor was ☺️Thanks AJa, for an enjoyable read

Zaire had seen her for months but he remembered her from college. Nala was just ticked off whenever he was around because every woman drooled over him. One night changed each of their lives. At a work conference they changed their relationship from annoyance to something sensual. Great read from a great author who did again with this story. Hope you enjoy it like I did

Once again Aja has taken readers on a beautiful journey of self-discovery filled with enough heat to leave you SCORCHED. Nala and Zaire wanted to hate each other (more so Nala) but couldn't deny their intense attraction to one another.

I can always count on Aja to pen a story where the message will resonate with me. Being open to love after loss, not being so hard on one's self, and releasing the hurt held within were just some of the messages.

Nala had her hang-ups about Zaire's preferred method of treatment but was open to learning more about them. And Zaire was so patient and attentive.

I also loved that although these characters were therapists themselves, they also sought out therapy to help with their issues.

I enjoyed reading Smoke N' Stroke, Nala had a crush on Zaire but was scared to take a chance. Zaire wasn't sure how to get Nala to let down her guard and see that they could be good together. I definitely recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book and the focus on how cannabis can be used to aide in healing. I didn’t really care for Nala in the beginning because of how judgmental she was, but she eventually came around and let her guard down around Zaire. I think he was just the man she needed to love her how she needed and provide her a safe place to open her mind and see things differently.
