Ms. Lane puts all the elements that I enjoy in a RH together in a fast paced story. Ada, Gray, and Callum were the perfect match up of characters, growing close together on their journey. Callum is a sweetheart right from the start, while Gray is the dark one who needs to prove himself. I love how Ada's tough beginning undergoes a change with the help of her friends at the tavern. There is action, drama, and mystery. Wolf shifters with their displays of dominance are hot, hot,hot. What more can you ask for!

    This series is always a good read. Multi POV with all the yummy omega alpha tropes we all know and love. But what really fascinates me with this installment was the realistic reaction from one of the MMCs when the FMC gets cozy with the other MC without discussing it with the original MMC first. That’s cheating. Plain and simple. Most RH books like to gloss over that or hide behind the fated mate bit, but this character had what I considered a realistic and appropriate emotional response upon first learning of this. I appreciate that a lot.

    The Rundown: Ada is a young woman who is constantly suffering from the abuse of her father. She finds herself sold to slavers along with other women, including Betsy, a tavern owner's daughter. Thankfully, she is rescued by Callum and others, including Betsy's father. Ada finds new life working at Betsy's father's tavern, and new romance with Callum. Then enters the mysterious Mr. Grey.

    Likes: I absolutely adored this book. Ada's character is great. She is so wholesome despite going through abuse. Callum and Grey are almost complete opposites, but I felt like they complemented each other, and brought a different dynamic in this MFM romance.

    Dislikes: While I loved Callum's relationship with Ada, Grey's relationship was a little off to me. I understand they are fated mates, but I didn't get the same level of depth between them as I did with Ada and Callum.

    The Sum-Up: L.V. Lane does not disappoint. Her Coveted Prey series is absolutely amazing and this book delivers, especially on the spicy scenes. I would recommend this book!

    I read this one a couple of months ago while on a camping trip and it has really stuck with me! I couldn't review at the time because... camping, but as I am looking back through the backlog of 5 star books I never reviewed, I just couldn't leave it blank!

    The book is listed as Coveted Prey #18, but I read it as a standalone! I loved a few things about it. I loved the powerful female friendship. No girl left behind is such a show of strength. I love how they supported one another without judgment throughout the story.

    The juxtaposition of the golden retriever boy next door and grumpy wolf shifter both falling first for a sunshine-despite-the-storm tavern maiden is just *chef kiss*. It's a rivalry for the ages, and one where readers just can't pick a side! (At least, I certainly couldn't!)

    This book is fast paced, sweet & spicy, dark-lite. It's found family and fated mates. It's the storm and the rainbow that follows. I loved it.

    I've reassessed now from this series. I'll admit I read the first 6 in order then just randomly pick one's that catch my interest but I have every intent to read them all.

    This one I really enjoyed, I liked that Callum a beta (no spoilers) who truly didn't know what he was and the same with our FMC Ada include Gray a true alpha wolf shifter and we end up with some great 🌶🌶 along with a plot.

    Liked the storyline, but pretty strong on the dub-con/non-con front there for a while. Loved the ending and the unfolding of the story, but almost didn't continue after some scenes, that were not to my liking. Had trouble to actually root for a person like Gray .. but he got there in the end. ;) Absolutely love the entire world L.V. Lane has created, can't wait for the next book!

    I love the omega tales that Lane creates. Her worlds are so beautiful and complex but build well in the mind. I can picture everything as I read and find it hard to put them down. This story is sweet, at the same time as having a few darker themes. Latent omega, and a latent alpha, it becomes a journey of discovery all around. Latent alpha was something new and was a nice twist to the usually hidden or latent omega tale.
