4.6 out of 5 stars 507 ratings

Arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, Mafia/cartel romance

As the only daughter of the Kansas City capo, at eighteen years of age, I was given to the son of my father’s consigliere, a man who was expected to accomplish great things for the famiglia. Things didn’t go the way we planned.
There wasn’t love.
My husband was a traitor, a part of a coup against the famiglia.
My husband is dead.
I’m free.
Until the fateful night my brother, our new capo, informs me that I’ve once again been promised in marriage. He explains that as a childless widow and the daughter of the late capo dei capi, I am desired—requested.
Aléjandro Roríguez is the son of the leader of the Roríguez cartel. My brother married a woman from the cartel, securing the Mafia/cartel alliance. He says that it’s now my turn.
I’ve only met my future husband a few times, but I know without a doubt that I don’t like him. Loving him is impossible. I’ve lived a marriage without love. I won’t do it again.
Aléjandro lives a dangerous existence.
Death saved me once before.
Maybe it will again.

"Aleatha Romig comes out hot in her second book of the Brutal Vows series, Till Death Do Us Part. I loved every minute of Mia's and Alejandro's story. It was nice to see them fall in love with each other for real and Mia getting treated the right way. I also loved getting glimpses of the characters from book #1 in the series.
*Till Death Do Us Part can be read as a stand-alone" ~

"TILL DEATH DO US PART is a stand-alone Mafia/cartel, arranged-marriage romance within the interconnected world of 'Brutal Vows.'
From the first meeting the fireworks between Mia and Aléjandro is off the charts, but she's reluctant to trust after her failed marriage. I loved how the story progressed with them growing closer, learning about each other and discovering the difference in families. A terrific mafia/ cartel romance with plenty of sexy times, intrigue and betrayal.
I love this interconnected world of arranged marriages, you definitely don't want to miss it!!" ~

"This was a fantastic mafia arranged marriage story! I loved how it wasn't gory but was still violent enough to represent a mafia lifestyle. The characters were great and well developed. Mia was a fantastic female lead and I really felt a connection to her character. I loved how she finally got the love she deserved after the drama in her life. And Alejandro was perfect for her. He is strong and alpha, but he loves her well. I can't wait to read the next one!" ~

"Wow, I loved the first book I. This series but this one was
fantastic. Widower has past her 6 months of mourning and now she has to marry again, to someone she doesn't really know. Her first marriage has put her off for life, cue Jano. Great story and looking forward to the next book in the series." ~ Kelly, 5-star review

"OMG if I could give Aleatha hundreds of stars I would! I could not put this down. Finished it way too fast. Absolutely love the Brutal Vows mafia/cartel stories. I am on the edge waiting for the next one." ~

"Till Death Do Us Part, Book #2 in Aleatha Romig's Brutal Vows Series brings all the suspense, tension and steamy scenes you could possibly want in an arranged marriage/mafia/cartel romance. I absolutely LOVED this story! I thought I'd read it slowly and savor it, but that idea went right out the window once I started reading. I could not put it down!" ~

"Loved-- I loved Till Death Do Us Part. Til Death Do Us Part is hot, sexy, and oh my. Aleatha has created a new world with the Brutal Vows Series. It's exciting, full of steamy moments, and a turn page-turner." ~

"Mia and Alejandro actually surprised me. I really enjoyed them together. She was more comfortable and he was tender. This was a well layered story. A story with danger, an emotional element and great banter. Characters with great depth and fun chemistry. This was a perfect addition to this series that I'm really enjoying." ~
Reading in the Red Room, 5-star review

"This was such a great story I didn't want it to end even though I was right about who the mole was. Alejandro and Mia were wonderful characters and perfect for each other. Mia was not a meek and mild famiglia daughter even if she did do as directed by her Capo. Alejandro was a cartel killer but for Mia he was the kindest man she could possibly have been required to marry, together there were a dynamic duo. So many of the characters in this book were wonderful even if you wanted to hug some and eradicate others, they all evoked a reaction. The plot was plausible and the heat and action perfect. A great read and a wonderful series." ~
Elizabeth, 5-star review

"Mia and Alejandro were fire! Learning about each other after their marriage was a challenge they both faced head on. I loved Mia's honesty and Alejandro's understanding. His sensitivity seemed incongruent with his reputation but that made him all the more lovable to Mia." ~

From the first time I started reading Aleatha Romig's stories starting with the awesome, raw story Consequences, and I have been hooked ever since. She is such an amazing storyteller and when you get hooked you probably will do like me and try to make sure when she comes out with new stories to make sure you don't miss out on a series. After finishing Dario and Catalina's story, which brought together two different mafia families. Dario and Dante and Mia are part of an Italian Famiglia and Alejandro Roriguez eldest son of the cartel leader Jorge Roriguez. This story promises the broken sister of Dario and Dante to Alejandro in marriage because she was requested by him. Even though Mia has been married before she was still requested. Mia was married to one of her father's soldiers by the name of Rocco when she was 18. Rocco abused her, even on her wedding night, he left her bloody and not in the way you think, even though she was a virgin. Even though Mia thought she was widowed after her brother's killed her husband because he was a mole and was working against the family along with her father. So, they killed her husband, and her father was killed by his mistress because he was evil too and believed in abusing women. So, there was going to be another cartel/mafia alliance and even though she knew her brother could stop it he didn't. Alejandro turned out to be the best person that Mia could ever be married to. Mia had to get over the abuse she was subjected to by her first husband. loved how Alejandro was so patient with Mia and eventually she learned to truly love him, and all that a marriage entailed. This story was Mafia and Cartel and so there was action, betrayal, lies and broken trusts and so you know what happens when you go against the family, just imagine. I loved this book and all that it contained. I am anxious to read the next book in this series, it should be really good.

I wasn't sure how Aleatha could enhance on Now and Forever in the Brutal Vows series, but once again, she has proven to be the queen of all she writes.

Mia and Alejandro's story was just so spicy. From the moment Mia found out who she was to marry, she was showing a different side to the woman we saw in Now and Forever, a more insecure/frightened side then we find out why and wow did that blow me away, the openness of her and the understanding of Alejandro was just heartwarming. This woman has gone through so much and deserved better. My heart really did go out to her.
This is why I love Aleatha's writing, she makes you feel what the characters are feeling and makes it feel real.

The love and respect these two have for each other enhances and the changes that are made are just as interesting. I was spellbound all the way through this book, the intrige and deception to the love and respect, this story has it all.

I cannot wait for the next book now.

Aleatha Romig is a master in these stories and no one should take that for granted, I certainly don't, I love how she always has you on your toes but also speaks volumes in each story she writes, it is why myself and others keep going back for more. Her books are addictively good.

    Highly recommended.

I had mixed feelings about Alejandro’s and Mia’s story. It’s hard to read about all the trepidation, fear and angst that the bride of an arranged marriage feels….especially when it lasts well into 50% of the book. It gets to be too much. But I will admit that once it gets to the good parts it feels monumental. Overall this was a very interesting read with lots of “mafia stuff” to deal with which made the story quite intriguing and set me on the edge of my seat at times. So the book really picked up during the last half. Not bad for a second book.

This started off so good but overall fell flat for me by the end. After Mia survived a 10 year long marriage to an abusive mafia member, she finally is set free and can live her life. But soon after, she is forced by her brother and Don to marry into the cartel to keep alliances. I loved how much strength Mia had to not only survive an abusive relationship but to then do her duty by marrying Alejandro, even though she is not happy about it.

I hated the confidence in Dario’s voice. “I won’t say. no,” I acquiesced. “But I can and will tell you that I hate you for doing this to me.” Dario nodded. “I mean it, Dario. I’ll hate you until the day you die, just like Father.”

This was so powerful and I wish Mia stayed in this mindset for longer in the book. Instead in my opinion she falls too quickly in love with Alejandro. I wish she fought it more and i wish we had more background from her previous marriage. Alejandro was very protective of Mia and most of the time was kind towards her but I felt like sometimes he almost threatened her that he could do whatever he wanted to at any time.

Also I felt like the drama and action was kind of subpar and was too late in the story which made it wrap up too quickly.

Overall, it was an okay mafia story , I just wanted more plot and action. I did like the supporting characters, especially Alejandro’s mom. She was a second mom to Mia and I loved them hanging out together.

    Till Death Do Us Part:Mafia/Cartel
Arranged Marriage (Brutal Vows Book 2)
    By Aleatha Romig

It is always a delight to read one of Author Aleatha Romig’s books, Till Death Do
Us Part kept me glued to my seat.

Mia Moretti is Dario Luciano’s sister; Her husband Rocco had lofty ideas, which lead to his demis. Mia is now in mourning and she has two things she is thankful for, she doesn’t have to put up with her abusive husband any more and since she’s been married once, hopefully her brother Dario will allow her to have time and space to find herself and maybe even go to school. Unfortunately someone has asked for her hand in marriage. She is devastated. Even more so when she learns is is Aléjandro Roríguez, the son of the leader of the Roríguez Cartel.

Jano (Aléjandro) met Mia at Dario and Catiana’s wedding, was smitten and when he heard her husband was no longer, he decided that he would make his move and asked for her hand in marriage.

Being part of a Mafia or Cartel family is dangerous, feeling like you are being used by a family member is even worse. Mia is not going gently into this marriage, she is going to make sure everyone knows she is not happy. Let’s not forget she is Mafia, Jano is Cartel….she has no plans to make this work, until she spends time with her new husband.

Author Aleatha Romig knows how to use suspense to keep readers coming back and there is no lack of danger and suspense throughout this story. The sexual tension runs high between Mia and Jano, will one lose or will they both win?

Add into their story the mysterious happenings with cargo being stolen, raids happening and some members of the Cartel are not happy with their new boss (Jano). Author Romig does an amazing job of keeping readers on their toes. Names pop up, surprises happen. The action moves through this entire story and when you think you know what is going on there is a twist.

I am a huge fan of Ms. Romig and she has done a wonderful job taking her readers from life with the Mafia in Kansas City to San Diego and a new life with the Cartel. There is no doubt for me, Till Death Do Us Part is definetly a five star read.

This second book carries on when Mia's marriage ended when her traitor husband was killed for his sins and was left in the care if her mother until the mourning was completed.
Then she found out her brother had promised her to another man in marriage, Alejandro.
She met him first time at another wedding and had taken an instant dislike to him but knew that it had to happen.
A great second book can't wait to read the third.

Second in this series about the Mafia , a stand alone yes, but with previously mentioned characters weaving their essential presence throughout the story. Mia was married to a Mafia soldier at 18years. Young innocent and totally unprepared for her husband Rocco’s demands needs and abusive behaviour, that left her scarred and scared for any further encounters. The knowledge of this abuse unknown to her family until her own father meets his maker . The new capo, her brother, Dario commutes Rocco’s life. Mia relishes being a widow and free. Until a marriage is arranged again between Mafia and Cartel to cement the bond. Alejandro the next cartel leader in waiting meets Mia and Dario’s wedding, and the impact is explosive! Mia is against the union and Alejandro is for as he is drawn to Mia’s furry personality. Enough of the spoilers as this novel is far too good to spoil for the would be reader. It grips right from the word go. Is full of all the usual Aleatha , drama, intrigue and romantic scenarios. It has some great characters and some totally despicable ones. Alpha males abound and you can smell the testosterone in the print. The female characters are no push over but each has a tale of their own to read. Some dark material and some upsetting attitudes but all are covered with compassion and consideration. Lots of characters to possibly be brought to life in future stories but this own conjures up concepts of hope, patience and everlasting love.

I really enjoyed this story, and I really need to read book one. It wasn’t needed to read this story. Each book is a standalone.
