Author J.E. Grace weaves a romantic suspense tale with intriguing twists and turns that will easily captivate the reader’s attention from the beginning. The author paints a haunting and imaginative story in a very vivid and convincing way. In addition, the characters are drawn with great credibility and conviction. It’s a relatively fast-paced novel that will keep you engaged from the first page to the last.

Redemption at Shadow Lake had every element a good story should have. An intriguing plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well-illustrated scenes that make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that’s something I really look for in a good book.

The book description gives a sneak preview: ‘Samantha Dunning needs a change of scenery after a lengthy relationship that ends in a bad breakup. Can a big city girl find peace and happiness in the small town of Shadow Lake as a real estate broker?

Just when Samantha begins to enjoy her new surroundings, she meets Calvin Benham, a handsome and charismatic investment broker planning on building a resort in Shadow Lake. But does he have a hidden agenda?

When her GPS mysteriously resets itself and takes her to the abandoned McClure Mansion her adventurous side takes over. Frightened by something inside, she flees and finds herself in the arms of Jonathan Williams, a local photographer. Just a coincidence or something more?

Will the hidden secrets of the McClure Mansion destroy any chance for a relationship between Samantha and Jonathan or has God brought them together? What will the secrets of the historical McClure Mansion reveal?’

Now, if that’s not enough to get your curiosity juices flowing, I don’t know what will. But if you want to find out what happens, you’ll just have to turn the pages for yourself! However, I will say it was well worth the read. It’s my third time reading this author and I must say I was very impressed yet again. Other books I’ve read by this author are Haunted Visions (Pacific Cove Book 1) and Testament of Faith (Pacific Cove Book 2). I’d highly recommend them to all fans of the Mystery and Suspense genre with a Christian theme.

Very appealing and alluring, Redemption at Shadow Lake had me immersed from the beginning. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. There are plenty of spellbinding moments in this page turner that will take the reader on a truly mysterious and intriguing journey.

It’s one of those books that come along occasionally that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader.

I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from J.E. Grace in the future. I would recommend this book and would add that it has a distinctly cinematic feel to it. I see no reason why it couldn’t be adapted for the Silver Screen. In my humble opinion, I honestly think this would make a great movie. Five stars from me.

The old McClure Mansion is shrouded in mystery. The deep secrets may keep Samantha and Jonathan from true love. Both wonder if it was God who had a hand in their meeting or was it by chance? Samantha had been startled by a strange phenomenon inside the old mansion and that is when she literally ran into Jonathan, to which he comforted her in his strong arms. Her GPS bafflingly rearranged itself to guide her to the uninhibited McClure Mansion, which led to escapades in the making. J.E. Grace wrote a gratifying story that shows God's love and goodness, genuinely resonated throughout. All in all, a wonderful read that's thoroughly entertaining.

I am a huge fan of this author because her books magnify what I love to read. The beginning hooked me immediately. It was scary yet not grossly
emphasised with gruesome descriptions, If so it would have put me off. Instead it pulled on my imagination and I wanted to find out what happened next. The story is well put together. I now have an interest in real estate and old historical houses - will there be ghosts from the past??
Two completely different kinds of men blend well in the story. One evil and one the total opposite, they are a good combination to add suspense.
Romance, mystery, a thrilling climax all in a clean Christian read, - what more could you ask for???

The story line was somewhat interesting, but felt disjointed. At times it felt like some of the story had been let out. I liked the Christian aspect to the story. A few annoying details included the use of apostrophes to make words plural, and words being left out of a sentence. Also story inconsistencies like a character's eyes being blue one time and green the next time. I probably won't read another of this author's books.

don't read Christian Romantic Suspense that often, why you may ask? Well my go to genre is Historical Romance as I prefer the historical setting over contemporary. But, every suspense genre book I have read I have enjoyed immensely and that includes this one. I loved the setting in this suspense, it was really there, perfect but not too much that it made me feel afraid.
This book really pulled me into it. I could not stop reading it and read it in several hours.
A romantic suspense with intriguing twists and turns the author had me spellbound as I read. The plot was fantastic and very believable. The characters were well played out and you could see them as your neighbors. The book was creepy but not in a bad or scary way it really added to the element of suspense. The words just flowed in this story, no slow parts at all.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I look forward to reading more by her.
