About the Author

I couldn't tell you how long I've been writing. The full-on pencil to paper stuff probably started around age 9 when I wrote a mystery about a hamster that stole money for housing materials. It was weird, but short. (The story, I mean. I honestly don't remember how tall the hamster was.)

But the earliest days were spent crafting alternate worlds and realities while sitting in the car listening to an odd mix of country, Motown, pop and classic 80s hair bands. There was the occasional injection of Bluegrass which is in my blood, apparently, but it was never my thing.

My serious storytelling began in my teens. Hidden away in my room for hours, I filled notebooks with handwritten stories. I was about 19 when I bought my first laptop. It was incredibly heavy and had all the aesthetic charms of a brick. It was awesome, and a huge step up from eraser marks, crossed out lines and doodles in the margins.

I write heroines that are smart, sexy and basically kind. All the things I want to be if I ever decide to grow up.

I love mysteries, romance and speculative fiction. I weave romance into pretty much all of my books, but I explore other relationships as well. Friendships and the various bonds within families are deeply important; I draw inspiration from my personal history and years of people watching.

I firmly believe that books are vital, our imaginations need to be protected and cultivated and boredom, in the hands of resourceful children, breeds creativity.

One of the most useful lessons I learned as a child was that if you're in a situation where you can't really conquer or surrender, stories give you the option to escape. Even if only for a few hours.

Writing murder mysteries and speculative fiction has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. The earliest days were spent crafting alternate worlds and realities while sitting in the car listening to a mix of country, Motown and 80s hair bands.

My serious storytelling began in my teens. I was typically hidden away in my room for hours. There in my secret lair I filled many notebooks with handwritten stories. I was about 19 when I saved up and bought my first laptop (I think I still have it shoved in a closet somewhere). It was incredibly heavy and had all the aesthetic charms of a brick. It was also a huge step up from eraser marks, crossed out lines and an aching claw-like grip from wielding my pencil.

I write from many perspectives - heroine, hero, side characters and sometimes even villains. I like to write about heroines that are smart, sexy and basically kind. All the things I want to be if I ever decide to grow up.

I love a good twisty mystery, and I also dabble in romantasy. While I weave romance into many of my books, I love to explore other relationships as well. Friendships and the many bonds within families are deeply important and I draw on my personal history for a lot of it.

I firmly believe that books are vital. That our imaginations need to be protected and cultivated. And that boredom, especially in the hands of resourceful children, breeds creativity and strength.

One of the most useful lessons I've learned along the way is that if you’re in a situation where you can’t really conquer or surrender…stories give you the option to escape. Even if only for a few hours.

Each one is just getting better and better in the series. If you are new to cozies please read this series you will NOT be disappointed. Warning: if you have little time to read you may not want to start because they are really hard to put down. I absolutely loved them

I grabbed this on a rainy weekend and couldn't put it down. The whole high school reunion murder plot hit close to home since I just went to mine last month. The main character feels super real - shes not perfect but thats what makes her interesting. I liked how she handled all the drama with her old classmates while trying to solve the mystery.
The chemistry between her and the captain is pretty intense, but its not over the top. Its more of a slow burn thing that keeps you wanting more. The mystery kept me guessing - I thought I knew who did it like three different times but was wrong every time! Theres some funny moments too that break up the tension, which I appreciated cause some parts get pretty intense.

Pretty Little Princesses is like diving into a blender of high school nostalgia, murder mystery, and small-town secrets—complete with a dash of old flames and new danger. Maiden just wanted to survive a reunion without losing her sanity, but when an old bully turns up dead and her best friend gets framed, things spiral faster than prom night drama. If you like murder mysteries with messy friendships, unresolved romantic tension, and a main character who can’t seem to catch a break, this book has it all. Bonus points if you enjoy watching a high school reunion turn into the deadliest event of the year.

A thrilling mystery! Reunion Gone Wrong turns Maiden’s high school reunion into a deadly spiral of secrets and grudges. With engaging twists, rising stakes, and a touch of romance, it’s a perfect weekend read!

honestly felt like being thrown back into high school, but with way higher stakes and, ya know… murder. The whole reunion setup had that classic creepy vibe, and I loved how the tension just kept building. Super easy to get into, and I really liked Maiden as a lead—tough but still kinda vulnerable. Also, the banter and chemistry between her and McAlister? So good. The twists had me flipping pages like crazy, and that reveal at the end? Did not see that coming. Totally binge-worthy.

This book was such a fun ride! Though it's book 3 of the series, I didn't feel lost and caught on quick and now I want to go back and read the first two. The set up is perfect. A high school reunion, awkward run-ins with old enemies, and then boom—someone ends up dead. Things go from nostalgic to deadly real quick. What I loved most was how real the friendships felt. Maiden and her best friends stick together through everything, even when one of them gets accused of murder. The book is not too heavy. It still has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and fun twists.

I couldn't imagine going to a high school reunion to get caught up in a murder mystery. That would be crazy which is why I loved how this book was written. I can't wait the read the next in the series. Support Ms. Camille Sharp as I think she's a fantastic author. A+

Pretty Little Princesses continues the Maiden Harlow series with a familiar cozy mystery vibe, mixing small-town drama and a murder at a high school reunion. Fans of the series will appreciate the ongoing banter between Maiden and Captain McAlister, but new readers might find the character dynamics and setting a bit underdeveloped. The gripping narrative keeps you hooked.

4.0 out of 5 stars a very engaging sequel you dont want to miss

This sounds like such a thrilling murder mystery, set at the high school reunion, that upon reading about it, one cannot help but feel all sorts of excitement and tension. Revisiting old rivalries, things one had believed they'd buried resurfacing at what's supposed to be such a nostalgic event, now adds in a serial killer, making it an interesting storyline. I'm especially interested in the dynamic between Maiden and Captain McAlister-how the partnership for the solving of a case could only add layers of emotion regarding their attraction to one another. I also liked how the stakes remained personal for Maiden: her best friend got arrested, and now Maiden herself has become a target-I guess that keeps the reader with bated breath. Overall, this book has left me panting to unravel the mystery right alongside the characters: wonder about how the past will clash with the present, anticipate the blend of suspense and romance, and then really dig into the deeper feelings in this thrilling tale.
