Tanya Anne Crosby is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than thirty-five novels. She has been featured in magazines, such as People, Romantic Times, and Publisher's Weekly, and her books have been translated into eight languages. Her first novel was published in 1992 by Avon Books, where Tanya was hailed as "one of Avon's fastest rising stars." Her fourth book was chosen to launch the company's Avon Romantic Treasure imprint.

Known for stories charged with emotion and humor and filled with flawed characters Tanya is an award-winning author, journalist, and editor, and her novels have garnered reader praise and glowing critical reviews. Tanya and her writer husband split their time between Charleston, SC, where she was raised, and northern Michigan, where the couple make their home.

    I’ve been a longtime fan of Tanya Anne Crosby, reading all of her books both historical and women's contemporary. She has the perfected the ability of incorporating traditions, lore and legends with authenticity throughout her works.

    This story of the heroine Gwendolyn of Cornwall is an exciting read filled with rich content and history along with faerie magic, gods, kings, enduring love and the consequences of the spoken word.

    After concluding the 4-part epic series of “The Goldenchild Prophecy”, I feel Tanya has again demonstrated her ability to weave a fabulous tale with lots of twists and turns and builds complex characters that evolve as they deal with life’s challenges.

    The story is very dense with many references to people and places from a long time past with unusual names and spelling. I did find myself checking the readers guide to try to keep everything and one straight. I must admit, I would benefit from a re-read of the entire series. I’m sure I missed many subtle nuances. I also believe that these books should be read, one after the other with little time in between because so much carries over from one book to the other.

    Putting that aside, I would highly recommend this romantic fantasy series especially for the rich history and lore. Having a strong, courageous, clever woman as the heroine doesn’t hurt either.

    This has been an epic series. Tanya Anne Crosby has done a magnificent research job to bring this story to life. It is a story of love and devotion to service. The characters are so very interesting. The description of the characters and the setting makes them come alive in the readers mind. Readers will be enthralled as they turn the pages and learn all the secrets of the characters. There are many surprises to be discovered as the plot unfolds. This series is so well done that it would make an excellent movie.

    Well written with great world building. Ms. Crosby is a wonderful storyteller. She blends fact and fiction with an endless love story. Suspense and mystery will keep the reader on the edge of their seats. Answers questions from the other stories, so, if you haven't read the other three stories this one has spoilers. A must read series. Strongly recommended to readers of fantasy, fiction, romance, fae, and today's England with past beliefs. An enjoyable read with an intriguing plot, and characters who don't give up their inner thoughts easily. Fantastic read!!

    After reading this complete series of The Golden Child Prophecy, and reading what others are saying, I must agree Tanya Anne Crosby is a genius at spinning a tale. This series is based on a true character with poetic license to include fantasy, love, intrigue, and heartbreak. The best book I have read all year. Love Gwendolyn and the way her character was developed from book to book. I highly recommend this book, however; you must begin with the first book in the series to get the full experience.

    This fourth book was a bit harder for me to read and stay focussed. I kept trying to follow all the tribes names with no success. I especially liked Gwendolyn’s journey into the Fae realm and her conversations with those she encountered. I also enjoyed the reconnection of daughter and Mother and Gwendolyn’s introduction to her maternal grandparents. Yes, there is romance but it takes a second place to the battle. Those scenes were well written and could be easily visualized. It is amazing that this book is based on a real historical figure, Tanya Ann Crosby has really let us get to know her.
